YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS - WITH SUE.

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 5TH of June was liberated in a Light Northerly wind Topping the Combine and the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Hedon on 1551. Topping the Central Section is Mark Taylor of Hull on 1549. Topping the North Section is Paul Abbot & Son Darren of Whitby on 1548. Well done to everyone. Another good race well done to the race controller Gary & convoyer Cliff.

Coastal South Section:

Holderness Flying Club. 9 members sent 196 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1551 with a 3yr old gift bird off Nigel Sims which was the only y.b in the m.n.f.c section on the day. Second place went to Malcolm Todd on 1535 with a yearling Vandenabeele cross hen. Third place went to Malcolm Todd on 1535 with a yearling Up North Special which Mal is well pleased with. Fourth place went to Colin Bolton on 1526 with a yearling cock which comes from brother Bobo and is an Hofken cross. Well done all.

Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 179 birds with the red card going to   Chris, Mark & Lynne Bell on 1532 with a yearling Van Reet hen which flew well as a y.b. Second place went to Chris, Mark & Lynne Bell on 1531 with a yearling Vandenabeele hen self bred off Bryan Shipley of York which also flew well as a young bird. Third and Fourth places went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1522 & 1522.

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 66 birds with the red card going to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1461 with a Janssen bred from brother Ralph from Leeds. Second place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1461 with a breeder buyer from Mr Bettney of Hornsea. Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1446 with a Colin Bolton Janssen. Fourth place went to Gav Fletcher & Tracy Heaton on 1416 with one of their family of Houbens.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 189 birds with the red card Second and Third places all going to Gavin Leahy on 1539, 1528 & 1495 with his Vandenabeeles. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs D & C Bennison. 

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 58 birds with the red card going to Dean Adamson on 1468. Second and Third and Fourth places going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1427, 1424 & 1424 with their John Rawson crosses.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 7 members sent 127 birds with the red card going to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1497 with a self bred Janssen bred from a pair of Premier Stud pigeons which are breeding winners for everyone that gets them. Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1487 with one of their winning Pobors. Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1486 with a Janssen. Fourth place went to Andy Moon on 1485 with a self bred Ken Skelton Herman Ceuster x     

Whitby Premier Club. 9 members sent 262 birds with the red card going to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1548.7 with a self bred Geerinckx x Van den Bulck yearling roundabout hen which has had 2 x 5ths. Second place went to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1548.7 with a self bred 2yr old Stefaan Lambrechts x Van den Bulck. Third place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1547 with a self bred yearling roundabout Hereman Ceuster cock. Fourth place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1547 with a 4yr old roundabout hen bred from Paul Fisher. Alan Richardson wins the pools.

Central Section:

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 122 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1549 with a Shane Redding Herman Ceuster also a previous winner. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1549 with a Gary Cox Herman Ceuster also a previous winner. Third place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1548 with a Paul Russell Cooreman a previous section winner from Billericay. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor with a Hereman Ceuster another winner from Shane Redding stock.  

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 7 members sent 140 birds with the red card going to George Rudd on 1515 with a Herman Ceuster hen. Second place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1499 with a self bred Phil Sullivan hen. Third & Fourth places went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1489 & 1479 with a pair of Vandenabeele hens.

Hull Millennium Club. 14 members sent 316 birds with the red card going to K & H Green on 1541 with a cock flying to 7day eggs. Second place went to D Robinson on 1528 with a Carrara Vandenabeele flown on the Cahos system he had paired up to a fantail trapper after battle. Third & Fourth places went to Alan Stone & Son on 1527 & 1526 no details.

Cottingham Homing Society. 7 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to K & S Walsh on 1533 with a yearling Gary Cox Herman Ceuster taking its first card.  Second place went to Andy Cook on 1524 with a multi prize winning Geerincks cock taking the £180 nom. Third place went to ever present Colin Clark on 1512 with a Busschaert hen. Fourth place went to Andy Cook on 1502 with another Geerincks cock.

Driffield Homing Society. 9 members sent 166 birds with the red card going to Ken Gladstone on 1518 with a cock. Second place went to Ken Gladstone on 1517 with a self bred from Whitakers of Appleknow stock. Third place went to Ken Gladstone on 1498 with one that was 3rd Battle last week. Fourth place went to G & G Ringrose on 1495 with one bred by Rob Mallinson of Whitby.

North Hull Club. 10 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to Steve Siddle on 1523 with a Van Reet. Second place went to Micky Foster on 1512 with a Wayne Brownlee x Hardy Kruger. Third place went to Steve Siddle on 1503 with a Van Reet cross.  Fourth place went to Micky Foster on 1479 with a Ronnie Nichols Ceuster Micky wins the £54 pools. Young Tyler Marritt wins the O/B K.O with is bird Beastalina. 

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 182 birds with the red card going to Jim Lowther & Son on 1532 with a Janssen. Second place went to A. Chmiel on 1518 with a Van Loon. Third place went to M. Szifer on 1517 with a Shaun Haigh of Barnsley pigeon. Fourth place went to A & K Hajduk on 1505 with a Staff Van Reet.
