YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

NEWS WITH SUE.

This week the race from Newark on the 19th of June was liberated in a Light North East and Topping the Combine and the North Section is James McCourt & Son Dale of Whitby on 1324. Topping the South Section is Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin of Bridlington on 1290. Topping the Central Section is Malcolm Todd of Holderness on 1233. Well done everyone.

Coastal North Section:

Whitby Premier Club. 10 members sent 242 birds with the red card going to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1324 with a yearling self bred Herman Ceuster roundabout hen which has had a 1st Sleaford as a y.b. James wins his 2nd combine win this year.

Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1322 with a self bred 2yr old Louis Thijs x RPRA cock which was 2nd Battle 2 weeks ago. Third and Fourth places went to Rob Mallinson on 1304 & 1302 with a pair of yearlings cock & hen off his good friend Frans de Coux.  

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 108 birds with the red card going to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1228 with a Cawdon & Costello of Lincoln which has had 2 x 2nd Huntingdon 4th Billericay. Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1211 with one of his Pabors. Third Place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1192 with a Pabor which has had a 5th Huntingdon. Fourth place went to new member Billy Richards on 1181 with one of his family of well established old birds.        

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 210 birds with the red card going to    Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1290 Second place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1265 with a self bred yearling Chris Hickman from West Midlands cock. Third place went to Ken Gray & Paul Atkin on 1212 with a self bred yearling Steve Sellars Janssen x Premier Stud Herman Ceuster cock. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1163 with a yearling Herman Ceuster hen which was in the prizes as a youngster

Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 72 birds with the red card going to Gav Fletcher & Tracy Heaton on 1163 with a Helle Jellema. Second & Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1146 & 1110 with a pair of self bred Janssens. Fourth place went to Gav Fletcher & Tracy Heaton on 1099 with a De Weerdt.

Holderness Flying Club. 10 members sent 187 birds with the red card going to Malcolm Todd on 1233 with a self bred yearling Hereman x cock. Second place went to Malcolm Todd on 1209 with a self bred yearling Herman hen. Third place went to Malcolm Todd on 1166 with a 2yr old late bred Hardy Kruger x. Fourth place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1135 with a 2yr old Sablon hen which has had at least 2 x 1sts. Finally got to say a big thanks to Ken Lister for not letting me get behind with my payments, he chases me about like a Jack Russell hounding me with " You haven't paid them pounds again Mal" every week. Actually, I will have to check if he's right or just using me for beer money?

Hull Millennium Club. 11 members sent 244 birds with the red card & second place  going to Dave Robinson on 1219 & 1218 no details. Third place went to Mr & Mrs John Hall on 1207 with a Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1179 with one from the Guiness factory.

Third place went to Pete & Angie Burke on 1047 with a Van Reet named Fat Mealy. Fourth place went to Micky Foster on 1013.

Second place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1211 with a self bred Paul Russell Cooreman won before. Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1161 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster Fourth place went to Harry Wallace on 1151 with a Nigel Laycock Soontjen.
