YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 26th of June was liberated in a light East North East wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is Kev & H Green of Hull on 1347. Topping the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Hedon on 1344.Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son Rob of Whitby on 1344. Well done to everyone. Well done to the Race Controller Gary & Convoyer Cliff for another excellent race. 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 10 members sent 223 birds with the red card going to Kev & H Green on 1347 with the last one from the Ark this hen wouldn’t come in on

Thursday evening and spent the night on the loft top with one of Scott Marritts cocks he said it will never come in pointless sending it! Good job he did send it. Second place went to Dave Robinson on 1303 with a yearling Carrera Vandenabeele hen flown on the chaos system. She topped the section at the last young bird race. Third place went to Alan Stone & son on 1299 with one bred by Wayne Brownlee. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hall 1287 with a Herman Ceuster.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 7 members sent 104 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1331 with a 2yr old Herman Ceuster x Deweert now having had 3 x 1st this year and 3 x 1st last year. Second place went to George Rudd on 1331 with a yearling Herman Ceuster hen. Third place went to Bri Rowson on 1259 with a 2yr old Kenyon x Koopman multi distance prize winning cock. Fourth place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1258 with a 3yr old self bred Phil Sullivan hen.

Driffield Homing Society. 8 members sent 147 birds with the red card going to Ken Gladstone on 1337 with a self bred off his Whittaker stock which has had many 1sts  Second & Fourth places again went to Ken Gladstone on 1321 & 1273 with a pair of Vandenabeele cocks. Third place went to Gary Ringrose on 1291 with one of his Rob Mallinson of Whitby stock. A. Welford sponsor 1st & 4th  K. Gladstone 2nd & 3rd Gary Ringrose.

North Hull Club. 7 members sent 101 birds with the red card going to Crawford & Wood on 1270 with a yearling Billy Kirby Ceuster. Second place went to Crawford & Wood on 1262 with a Romain Legeist bred by Pete Mathews. Third place went to Steve Siddle on 1251 with a 2yr old. Fourth place went to Crawford & Wood on 1247 with a 3yr old Van Reet.    

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 126 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs King on 1346 with a self bred G. Cox Geerinck x Ceuster has won before. Second Third & Fourth places went to Mark Taylor on 1331 1284 1284 no details.

Wawne Ferry Club. 5 members sent 126 birds with the red card going to A & K Hajduk on 1299 with a Staff Van Reet. Second place went to M. Szifer on 1288 with a Shaun Haigh of Barnsley yearling. Third place went to M. Szifer on 1286 with a gift bird off friend Artur Chimiel. Fourth place went to Jim Lowther & Son on 1253 with a Janssen. 

Cottingham Homing Society. 6 members sent 100 birds with the red card going to K & S Walsh on 1306 Second place went to Andy Cook on 1282 Third place went to Andy Cook on 1277. Fourth place went to Bettney & Plant on 1251  

Coastal South Section:

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 146 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1344 with a yearling hen nestmate Pauls combine winner the other week. Second place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1318 with a 2yr old Sablon hen. Third place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1317 with a yearling from his Parkinson stock raced well as a young bird consistency that we expect from this partnership. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1299 with a 3yr old experienced Albert Derwa x Gaston de Wower which has topped the combine before from Huntingdon so certainly knows the ropes.

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 156 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1341 no details. Second place went to C M & L Bell on 1337 with a self bred Brian Shipley Vandenabeele hen which won Huntingdon 2 weeks ago. Third place went to C M & L Bell on 1336 with a Van Reet hen from their old family. Fourth place went to C M & L Bell on 1325 with a self bred Brian Shipley Vandenabeele hen  

Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 65 birds with the red card going to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1278 with a Janssen off his brother Ralph in Leeds taking its 2nd red card. Second place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1223 with a Vandenabeele bought at the Holland show. Third place went to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson on 1198 with a Breeder Buyer from Hornsea. Fourth place went to Gavin Fletcher &  Tracy Heaton on 1184 with one from their family of Houbens.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 184 birds with the red card and second third & Fourth places all going to Gavin Leahy on 1275 1241 1239 & 1239 all with his family of Vandenabeeles.   

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 48 birds with the red card & Second place going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1204 & 1191 with a pair off Ken Anderson x their own family. Third and Fourth places going to Alec & Margaret Dodson again on 1178 & 1177 with a pair off John Rawson x George Atkinson birds. 

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 122 birds with the red card going to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1268 with a Delaney from Ireland Lambrecht which has had 5 x 1st now from Huntingdon. Second place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1268 with a Pobor. Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1267 with a self bred yearling Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Pete & Pat Chapman on 1266 with a Lee McGuire of Liverpool Lambrecht.      

Whitby Premier Club. 9 members sent 221 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1344 with a yearling hen off direct Louis Thijs stock. Which was 3rd Sleaford and 4th open this hen and her sister was bred for South East Durham B/B but with covid they where put online no one bid on them they have both now won. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1344 with a 3yr old cock sire bred by Roberts good friend Keith Homer from his direct Leo Heremans x a Direct Jozef Goovarets which has had 1st Battle 1st Huntingdon and many minor prizes.

Third place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1343 with a yearling cock bred by his good friend Frans de Coux of Berlaar which was 4th Sleaford 5th open.

Fourth place went to 4th Alan Richardson on 1342 with a yearling hen from his Louis Thijs x RPRA winning hen. S Mallinson & Son win the pools.
