YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 5th of September was liberated in a East South East wind sending them straight up the middle to the top end of the combine. Topping the Combine and the North Section is Paul & Darren Abbott of Whitby on 1561. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1520. Topping the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Holderness on 1499. Well done to everyone on another good race from our Race controller Gary and Convoyers Cliff & Ian.

Coastal North Section:

Whitby Premier Club. 6 members sent 186 birds with the red card going to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1561 with a self bred Louis Thijs x Bart Geerinckx stock. Second place went to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1561 self bred from stock via Eddie Faulkner of Leeds from his Dirk van den Bulk family. Third place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1561with a roundabout Jan Hooymans cock. Fourth place went to Paul Abbott & Son Darren on 1560 with last weeks winner which is a Stefan Lambrecht’s x Bart Geerinckx hen which wins the pools.

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 96 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1495 taking his 5th red card of the season. This week with one off his family of Herman Ceusters which was second at Sleaford. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1491 with one bred off the son of Ken Skeltons Chris Vasey cock. Third Place went to Andy Moon on 1468 with another from his Herman Ceusters. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1446 with a Staf Van Reet x Janssen.

Driffield Homing Society. 4 members sent 56 birds with the red card going to G & G Ringrose on 1485 with one from his Rob Mallinson stock. Second third & Fourth places went to George Atkinson on 1417 1397 & 1396 with three Gaby Vandenabeeles. A. Welford sponsor won by George Atkinson with G & G Ringrose in Second place.

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 50 birds with the red card going to Paul Rhodes on 1395 with a self bred Shane Reading Ceuster a b/b in hull fed. Second & Third places went to Paul Rhodes on 1390 & 1388 with a pair of Van Hee bred by Steve Hedgington of Horncastle. Fourth place went to Paul Rhodes on 1378 with a Herman Ceuster that was 2nd last week.

Kingston Flying Club. 4 members sent 39 birds with the red card and Second places going to Mr & Mrs King on 1484 & 1475 with a pair Herman Ceusters bred by Gary Cox. Third place went to Andy Scarah on 1435 with one from his Humberside Trophy winning family which scored last week. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1435 with a Gary Cox Ceuster x Paul Russell Cooreman.  

Wawne Ferry Club. 3 members sent 32 birds with the red card Third & Fourth places all going to A & K Hajduk on 1342 1328 & 1328 no details. Second place went to Jim Lowther & Son on 1337.

Fourth place went to Jeff Donner on 1391 with one of his fantastic Meldert family.

Holderness Flying Club. 7 members sent 218 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1499 with a Van de Maere x with a Ken Lister hen, this bird has had an eventful life been returned from two private houses in the earlier weeks of its life even brought back in a 4ft square crate on a Biffa wagon (good job paul its paid you back. Second place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1485 with a Van de Maere x with a Ken Lister cock. Third place went to hard working club mate Chris Syrett on 1475 with a Vandenabeele x Janssen. Fourth place went to Chris Syrett on 1455 with a Vandenabeele.
