YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS
This week the race from Chelmsford on the16th of September was liberated in a strong West South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Paul & Helen Johnson of Holderness on 1393. Topping the Central Section is J. Hopper & Son of Hull 1392. Topping the North Section is Andy Moon of Scarborough on 1359. Well done to everyone on a difficult race.
Coastal South Section:
Holderness Flying Club. 6 members sent 166 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1393 with a Van de Maere which topped the Coastal Section last week that crate I wrote about in last weeks book certainly paid him back. Second place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1386 with another Van de Maere Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1383 with one of his specials. Fourth place went to Chris Syrett on 1375 with a self bred Janssen hen which are coming well.
Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 86 birds with the red card & the next three places going to Gavin Leahy on 1256 1255 1254 & 1202 with his family of birds.
Flamborough Homing Society. 5 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to John & Linda Chadwick on 1392 with a Van Dyke x Mandelartz cock which was in the top 6 from Huntingdon 2 weeks ago. Second third & Fourth places all went to the partnership of Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowels & Colin Simpkin on 13821379 & 1374 with their well known family of pigeons.
Bridlington D.F.C. 2 members sent 15 birds with the red card Second & Third going to John Raines & Oliver Shaw on 1305, 1201 & 1165 with their family of Jella Jellamas. Fourth place went to Gav Fletcher & Tracy Heaton on 1133 with one of their Houbens.
Withernsea Homing Society. 1 members sent 11 birds Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1180 with one of their old family of pigeons.
Coastal North Section:
Scarborough Social Club. 3 members sent 45 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1359 with one bred out of his Skelton Herman Ceuster stock birds. Second place went to our oldest member Dave Pickering who takes charge of the race money on a Friday. Third & Fourth Places went again to our basket man Andy Moon on 1286 & 1274 again with a pair of his Herman Ceusters trained hard by his brother Vic.
Whitby Premier Club. 7 members sent 185 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1355 with a Louis Thijs x Frans de Coux x Louis Thijs which has had a 7th Club 7th open. Second place went to S Mallinson Son Rob on 1355 with a Gert Heylen x Guido Barberien which took 10th open last week. Third place went to James McCourth & Son Dale on 1353 with a roundabout Leo Heremans hen which was 6th club 6th open. Fourth place went to S Mallinson Son Rob on 1340 with a Louis Thijs hen. All Robs are flown on sliding door. Rob Mallinson wins the pools.
Hull Chalk Lane Club. 9 members sent 132 birds with the red card going to Petherbridge & Coates on 1351 with a Mandelartz x J. Williams. Second & Fourth places went to George Rudd on 1341 & 1327 with a pair of Herman Ceusters. Third place went to Williams Brothers on 1329 with a Mandelartz

Second place went to Mr & Mrs D Robinson 1384 with a Carrera Vandenabeele x Gaston hen racing to eggs. Third place went to Mr & Mrs D Robinson 1384 with a Jos Thone x Julian Petch hen.
Fourth place went to K & H Green 1357 with another young cock from the ark.
