Osmaston Park Homing Society held their annual presentation evening at their headquarters The Chaddesden Jubilee Club on Saturday December 14th.Presenting the prizes and guest of honour for the evening was Stewart Sparks. Top prize winners for 2019 with 133 points having flown their first full season in the club winning 6x1sts,9x2nds,6x3rds,4x4ths plus 13 minor positions winning Old Bird Inland Average, Channel Average, Fougeres Trophy, Gold ring race winner’s trophy & bird of the year a cheq hen GB 16 Z 41670 winning 1st club Fougeres 83 birds, 21st fed 509 birds.3rd club Carentan 124 birds,19th fed 666 birds. Club man of the year went George Torry
Total paid out in prize money, gold ring race money and show race money was £4843.41 plus £1016.59 paid out in pool money making a total for the 2019 season of £4843.41.
This is surly a true reflection of the effort put in by the hard working and dedicated members of this club. Whenever this club organise something it is always very well supported by the members. Steve Stone (secretary) does an outstanding job as does the marking team on a Friday night which consists of John Hasse, Mick Willis & George Torry. Clock setter Mick Stone show committee Mick Willis, George Torry & Steve Lambert. These are truly a hard-working team and are an asset to any club.
The members would like to thank Steve Stone ( hard working secretary ) for all the hard work he has done over the last twelve months making the club run smoothly also all the above mentioned for all the tireless efforts over the season on basketing night & clock opening night. I would like to thank Jake Harcup for providing the results every week for publication in Derby Evening Telegraph, British Homing World, The Racing Pigeon and Elimar.
