Saturday August 24th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Salisbury where 59 members sent 1224 birds which were liberated at 07-45. Congratulations to Roger & Mark Duffield of Selston on topping the fed doing 1500.7.  (The only pigeon doing over 1500).Second fed went to Storey Arms member K.J.Walker with a cheq pied cock doing 1496.2. The next four positions went to Woodhouse members with P. Rimminghton & Wright taking third & fourth with a blue hen a cheq hen doing 1486.4 & 1486.3. In fifth & sixth were Mr & Mrs A. Jackson doing 1483.8 & 1482.4.Swallownest members Overton, Rimmington & Wright took seventh with a cheq cock doing 1476.1 with Woodhouse members B & C Brelsford & Son in eighth doing 1476.0 followed by M & A Sherwood doing 1475.98 in ninth followed by G. Jones & Proctor in tenth doing 1475.92.

In the South Section Selston members dominated taking five of the top six positions with R & M Duffield leading the way with their fed topper doing 1500.7.Second section went to K.J.Walker Storey Arms with a cheq pied cock doing 1496.2. with the next four positions going to M.H. Jepson with a dark cock doing 1449.6 with Monty Buxton taking the next two with a blue hen doing 1435.1 and a cheq cock doing 1429.97. In sixth was B.A. Evans doing 1429.93.

Taking the first four positions in the north section were Woodhouse members with P. Rimmington & Wright taking first & second with a blue hen doing 1486.4 and a cheq hen doing 1486.3.  Mr & Mrs A. Jackson took third & fourth doing 1483.8 & 1482.4. In fifth was Swallownest members Overton, Rimmington & Wright with a cheq cock doing 1476.1 followed  Woodhouse members B & C Brelsford & Son  doing 1476.0 in sixth.

In Selston taking the red card and topping the fed doing 1500.7 was Roger & Mark Duffield who were 51ypm clear of the field ( Congratulations to you both). M.H. Jepson took second doing 1449.6 followed by Monty Buston in third & fourth with a blue hen doing 1435.1 and a cheq cock doing 1429.9. 

K.J.Walker took the red card in Storey Arms with a ch/pied cock well clear of the field doing 1496.2.Taking the next three was J. Barker with a blue hen doing 1264.5 then a blue cock doing 1252.9 followed by a cheq cock doing 1249.2. 

P. Rimminghton & Wright  take the top two spots in Woodhouse. Their winner was a blue hen doing 1486.4 followed by a cheq hen doing 1486.3. In third & fourth was Mr & Mrs A. Jackson doing 1483.8 & 1482.4.

In Swallownest Overton, Rimmington & Wright take the red card with a cheq cock doing 1476.1 followed by D. Trow taking the next three with a grizzle cock doing 1440.1 then a blue cock doing 1421.5 and a blue hen doing 1390.8.

Broughtons, Geelan & Goodwin came out on top in Park doing 1472.2 followed by T & H Garner & Morton in second with a cheq cock doing 1470.6. In third was J. Broughton & Sons with a cheq hen doing 1467.6 with E. Fox in fourth doing 1452.3.

Jepson & Bennett took three of the first four in Poolsbrook with the winner, a blue hen doing 1446.1 followed by a blue cock doing 1445.0 then a grizzle hen doing 1431.1. In third were M & L Herbert with a cheq hen doing 1439.4. 

In Kilburn Club K. Foulke takes the red card with a b/p/cock doing 1419.0 followed by K. Cresswell in second & fourth with a ch/p/cock doing 1379.4 and a blue hen doing 1337.9. In third was S. Wainwright with a dk/h doing 1343.2.

R. Black takes the red card in South Normanton with a cheq cock doing 1402.3.Taking the next three was R. Coope with three blue hens doing 1380.6,1272.4 & 1265.4.
