Derby Notes 11-08-19

Sunday August 11th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington and the pigeons were liberated at 08-15 in a strong south west wind.

 

In Osmaston Park Homing Society 19 members sent 381 birds and the in form loft of Mick Richardson dominated taking the first three positions making it back to back wins. His winner was a mealy cock doing 1791.3 followed by a blue hen doing 1791.0 then a dk/ch hen doing 1788.9.In fourth was S & H W Hall with a cheq hen doing 1785.6.

 

In Holbrook 6 members sent 284 birds with Mr & Mrs Ken Salt taking the top two positions with a blue cock doing 1761.0 taking the red car followed, by a b/w/f cock doing1759.6 taking second. In third was Rob Pearson with a blue cock doing 1750.2 followed by D & A Swift with a cheq hen doing 1734.8 in fourth.

 

In Etwall & District Flying Club 10 members sent 172 birds. Coming out on top was J.S.Phillips who took the red card with a mealy cock doing 1710.1 and a mealy hen doing 1708.9 taking second. Third position went to Steve Billings with a blue cock doing 1702.4 followed by Tony & June Whitehurst with a cheq cock doing 1696.0 taking fourth.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Windrush and the pigeons were liberated at 07-45 in a south south west wind. In Holbrook 5 members sent 92 birds with Keith Cresswell getting the winner with a blue hen doing 1714.6.Taking second & third was Keith Foulke with a cheq hen doing 1655.0 and a blue cock doing 1572.4 with Stuart Wainwright in fourth with a blue hen doing 1519.9.
