In Osmaston Park Homing Society twenty two members sent 301 birds and John & Steve Hicks came out on top winning the red card with a two year old blue cock doing 1437.In second & third was Paul & Lynda Todd with a four year old cheq hen doing 1434.7 and a two year old blue cock doing 1434.6 with Deryck Ford in fourth with a yearling cheq hen doing 1423.7.
B & S Stone Holbrook winners
In Holbrook eight members sent 135 birds and taking the red card was B & S Stone with a yearling cheq hen doing 1430.5. Taking second & third was D & A Swift with a two-year-old cheq cock doing 1428.4. followed by a yearling black hen doing 1422.3. with Trevor Jennings in fourth with a two-year-old pied hen doing 1420.3.
Alan & Liz Houldsworth Etwall & District Flying Club winners.
In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth were well clear of the field with a two-year-old pencil cock doing 1421.0 with a two-year-old blue pied cock doing 1393.4 taking third. In second was A. Peach & Son with a two year old white hen doing 1397.7 with Sam Phillips in fourth with a yearling blue hen doing 1374.3.
The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Bedhampton and the pigeons were liberated at 08-00 in a light northwest wind.
In Kilburn K. Foulke got the winner where six members sent 122 birds. His winner was a yearling slatey hen doing 1315.In second & fourth was Stuart Wainwright with two yearling hens doing 1303 & 1288.In third was L. Hall & Parkin with a yearling pied hen doing 1288.
