Derby Notes August 11th
Saturday August 11th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington and the pigeons were liberated at 08-30 in a light south wind. Leading the way with a mealy cock doing 1691 taking the red card in Etwall & District Flying Club also topping the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were Tony & June Whitehurst.( Well done to you both ).In second position was Sam Phillips with a blue pied cock doing 1645 followed by A.Peach & Son with a blue hen doing 1628 then Steve Billings in fourth with a cheq hen doing 1610.

In Ilkeston Bulls Flying Club F & T Salt Brothers & Son took the first three positions with a blue Sootjen cock taking the red card doing 1670 followed by his next two pigeons both doing 1669 one being last weeks winner to take second & third.
In Osmaston Park Homing Society Glew & O'Donnell took the top two positions with a b/w/f cock doing 1660 to take the red card followed by a blue cock doing 1656 in second. Dave Waddington took third with a cheq cock doing 1628 followed by Mick Stone in fourth with a light cheq cock doing 1610.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Marlborough and were liberated at 07-20 with no wind given. Making a clean sweep in Derby Premier was Paul & Lynda Todd. Their winner was a cheq pied hen followed by a cheq hen both doing 1635 this was followed by two cheq cocks doing 1583 & 1582 to take third & fourth.

In Kilburn Welfare Keith Cresswell took three of the first four positions with two blue cocks doing 1611& 1587 taking the red card with his first pigeon and third with his second. These were followed by a cheq cock doing 1579 to take fourth. In second was Keith Foulke with a blue hen doing 1504.
