Saturday August 4th and with both the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation having revised their race programs the Burton & South Derbyshire liberated their birds at Cheltenham at 10-00 in a light north wind.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club F & T Salt Brothers & Son took three of the first four positions with a smoky blue cock taking the red card doing 1359 followed by two blue cocks doing 1352 & 1246 to take second and fourth. In third with a blue hen doing 1289 was last week?s winners Mr & Mrs K Haslam & Son.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Fearn took the red card and also third position with two cheq hens doing 1338 and 1228.In second was Glew & O'Donnell doing 1326 with a cheq hen with Brailsford & Doyle in fourth doing 1221 with a blue pied hen.

In Etwall & District Flying Club A.Peach & Son get the winner with a mealy hen doing 1283 followed by a cheq hen doing 1221 to take fourth. In second was Sam Phillips with a blue cock doing 1242 followed by Mr & Mrs A.J.Whitehurst in third with a blue hen doing 1237.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation got theirs away at Windrush at 08-15 in a north wind. In Kilburn Welfare Keith Cresswell took the first three positions with three blue cocks doing 1255,1255 & 1254.In fourth was Keith Foulke with a blue cock doing 1161.
