Saturday July 28th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington with the pigeons being liberated at 08-00 in a strong south west wind.

 

In Etwall & District Flying Club Willy Horton gets a clear winner with the red card going to a grizzle cock doing 1862.The only pigeon in the club doing over 1800 ypm. This was followed by another grizzle cock doing 1794 to take second. In third was Dave Williams & Son with a mealy hen doing 1759 with A.Peach & Son in fourth with a slaty cock doing 1743.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Stone gets the winner with a cheq hen doing 1836 with Glew & O’Donnell in second with a blue pied hen doing 1820.In third was last week’s winners Hall & Torry doing 1812 with a mealy hen followed by new members Shenston Brothers in fourth with a cheq hen doing 1781.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Mr & Mrs K.Haslam & Son make it a clean sweep with a blue cock getting the red card well out in front doing 1943  followed by a cheq cock  and a blue cock both doing 1872 to take second & third and their next pigeon doing 1871 to take fourth . To put the icing on the cake they also topped the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation making it an excellent days racing. Well done to both of you.

Derby Premier were at Windrush with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation with the pigeons being liberated at 09-30 in a strong south west wind. In Kilburn Welfare Keith Foulke gets the red card with a red hen doing 2093 followed by Stuart Wainwright in second & third with a blue hen doing 2073 and a b/pied hen doing 2002 with fourth going to Parkin & Hall doing 1727 with a blue cock.

 

In Derby Premier Paul & Lynda took the first four positions with a cheq cock doing 2073 followed by a cheq hen then a cheq cock both doing 2072 with a white hen in fourth which was bred by Jake Harcup doing 1866.
