Saturday June 9th and both the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Fourgeres for their second channel race but due to bad weather conditions in France both feds were bought back to Carentan and both feds were liberated simultaneously on Sunday at 12-30 in a North East wind. This turned out to be a very hard race with many empty perches Sunday night.

The Burton & South Derbyshire Federation also held an inland race from Frome and were liberated at 11-00 in an east north east wind. Taking the first three positions in the Brackens South Road Flying Club and leading the way into Derby was Paul & Lynda Todd with a yearling blue cock which was bred out of their Steve Foster pigeons doing 1367.This was followed by a three year old cheq cock doing 1347 then a yearling cheq cock doing 1346.In fourth position was Jason & Karen Phillips with a yearling cheq hen doing 1230.
