Saturday 5th May and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation got their pigeons away at Frome at 11-00 in a light east south east wind. In the Brackens South Road Flying Club taking the first two positions was Jason & Karen Phillips who's grizzle yearling cock was well out in front doing 1638.This pigeon was bred by Fred Stevenson and topped the fed as a youngster. This was followed by a red Cheq doing 1622 which was bred by Spinks & Barks. In third and fourth positions was Brian & Andrea Dyjas with a three year old blue cock doing 1563 and a yearling pied cock doing 1503.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth made it a clean sweep taking the first four positions. Their winner was a yearling blue pied cock doing 1613 followed by a yearling blue hen doing 1611 then a yearling blue cock doing 1605 then a two year old blue pied hen doing 1604.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club the in form loft of John & Pamela Dowd continue to dominate taking three of the first four positions. Their winner was a four year old Cheq cock doing 1610 which was out of his Shane Langton pigeons followed by a two year old blue cock doing 1609 then a yearling blue hen doing 1589.5. In third position was Roger & Mark Duffield doing 1589.7.
