1st club 1st Derby Burton & District South Road Federation Newbury

 

Saturday April 30th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Newbury and the pigeons were liberated at 08-30 in a North West wind. Getting their hat trick in Derby Premier was the Oakwood loft of Paul & Lynda Todd who also took fourth position and to put the icing on the cake they topped the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation. Congratulations to you both. Their winner was a yearling mealy hen doing 1467 ( this pigeon also won as a young bird ) their second pigeon was a yearling blue cock doing 1399.In second position was Roy Gregory & Son with a yearling blue cock doing 1412 with L.D.S. Johnson in third position with a yearling blue cock doing 1401.

The Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Frome and the pigeons were liberated at 10-45 in a west North West wind.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club G Inger & Son open their account taking top spot in a very close finish with a yearling cheq hen doing 1443.8.With Neil’s partner Lisa looking after the pigeons and doing a fantastic job.  John & Pamela Dowd take the next three positions with a two year old blue hen doing 1443.6 then a two year old cheq cock doing 1417 then a yearling blue cock doing 1416.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society getting their first red card of the season also the first pigeon into Derby with a two year old red cock doing 1439 was the Chaddesden loft of Yule & Inger. In second position was Dave Waddington with a two year old cheq hen doing 1432 with Mick Fearn of Little Eaton in third & fourth positions with a two year old cheq cock doing 1394 and a yearling pied cock doing 1392.

 

In Etwall and District Flying Club winning for the second week in succession was A. Peach & Son with a two year old cheq hen doing 1406 also taking third position with a yearling grizzle hen doing 1379.In second position with a yearling cheq cock doing 1402 was Alan & Liz Houldsworth with Dave Williams & Son in fourth with a 4 year old pied hen doing 1371.

 

In Derby South Road Club the Mackworth loft of Roy Gregory & Son make it a clean sweep taking the first four positions. Their winner was a four year old blue cock doing 1395 followed by a five year old blue cock doing 1357 then a three year old blue cock doing 1349 and a four old cheq cock doing 1340 to take fourth.

 

In the Cornishman Homing Society it was a repeat of last weeks result with Brian Dyjas taking the top three positions. His winner was a three year old cheq cock doing 1377 followed by a three year old blue cock doing 1376 then a yearling grizzle cock doing 1336. His wife Andrea doing a first class job as loft manager. In fourth position was Woolley & Rogers with a two year old blue cock doing 1300.

Saturday April 23rd and the Cornishman Homing Society were at Hullavington and the pigeons were liberated at 10-30 in a north east wind. Taking the top three positions was Brian Dyjas with a yearling cheq cock taking top spot doing 1302 followed by a three year old blue cock doing 1229 then a yearling cheq hen doing 1227.In fourth position with a two year old blue cock doing 1192 was Woolley & Rogers.
