Saturday 6th August and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington a distance of 100 miles into Derby.The pigeons were liberated at 12-00 oclock in a westerly wind.Getting the red card in Osmaston Park Homing Society and getting their hat trick also the first pigeon into Derby was The Little Eaton loft of S & H W Hall doing 1662 with a cheq hen which was bred of his Alan Brassington stock.Second position went to Ron Hall doing 1655 with a grizzle hen.Taking third & fourth positions doing1649.8 & 1649.5 was Fred Stevenson.Freds first pigeon was a blue hen followed by a cheq pied hen.  

In Etwall & District Flying Club Mr & Mrs Childs & Son take the top two positions doing 1659 & 1653.Their winner was a blue cock and their second pigeon was a cheq cock. In third position doing 1635 was last weeks winner Dave Williams & Son with a blue cock with fourth position going to Willy Horton doing with a blue cock.   

In Derby South Road Club it turned out to be a two loft race with the Spondon loft of Farrar & Peters taking the first three positions doing 1621,1615 & 1609.Their winner was a red cheq cock,their second pigeon was a blue cock followed by a cheq hen.Fourth position went to Brailsford & Doyle doing 1602 with a blue cock.

In their five bird section Brailsford & Doyle take the first three positions doing 1360,1292 & 1282 with Roy Gregory & Son in fourth position doing 1255.   The Derby Burton & District South Road  Federation were at Windrush a distance of 75 miles into Derby.The pigeons were liberated at 09-00 in a west wind.

Getting the red card in Derby Premier with a cheq hen doing 1425 was Jack Whitehouse.Second position went to Roy Gregory & Son doing 1393 with a cheq cock.Daniel Johnson takes third & fourth position with a dark hen and a blue hen doing 1373 & 1355.  

On the north road Courtaulds were at Scotch Corner a distance of 108 miles into Derby.The pigeons were liberated at 08-30 in a light south west wind.Getting the winner also taking third position was Billy Beastall doing 894 & 682.Billys winner was a cheq pied cock and his second pigeon was a red cock.Second position went to Les Martin doing 769 with a cheq pied hen.
