Saturday 5th September and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Frome. The pigeons were liberated at 09-30 in a west north west wind.

In Holbrook 9 members sent 181 birds with the red card going to Trevor Jennings with a dark cock doing 1497. Taking the next three was Russ Bailey with three blue hens doing 1496 and the next two doing 1495.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society 16 members sent 215 birds and taking the red card was Dave Waddington with a red cock doing 1479.9 followed by Glew & O'Donnell in second with a blue cock doing 1477. Shenton Brothers took third doing 1471 with a blue hen followed by Simon Wolley in fourth with a blue cock doing 1470.

In their breeder buyer race all the prize winners bought their own youngsters back with £700 in the kitty. Well done to  Paul & Lynda Todd who took the first prize of £300 doing 1149. Second prize of £220 went to Shenton Brothers  doing 1144 with Steve Stone taking third winning £180 doing 1024.  

In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth took the top two spots with a Cheq hen doing 1479.8 and a dark hen doing 1462. In third was Kevin Southall with a Cheq cock doing 1410.9 with A.Peach & Son in fourth with a b/w/f hen doing 1410.6.

The Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Chichester and the pigeons were liberated at 08-15 in a north west wind. In Kilburn club 4 members sent 58 birds with Stuart Wainwright taking the red card doing 1104 with his next pigeon doing 1101 to take second. In third & fourth was Keith Foulke doing 990 & 985.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society 15 members sent 187 birds with Dave Waddington getting his hat trick also making it a podium finish taking the first three positions with a blue cock taking the red card doing 1671.8 and his next two pigeons both doing 1671.1.  In fourth were Paul & Lynda Todd with a ch.w.f cock doing 1665.
