and Penzance Breeder Buyer Sale

The Second Penzance Premier RPC Breeder //Buyer Sale was held at the club Headquarters at The Astro Park, Penzance on Sunday 9th April. Young Harvey Watson and his family were also invited to attend. As normal our Secretary, Mr Gary Jacobs did another fantastic job organizing the event and making sure everything ran to order. Gary was also the auctioneer, and a very nice sum of money was raised, there was also a raffle, so a big thank you to Christine and Bethany for doing such a good job selling the raffle tickets. Also thanks to all the fanciers that donated birds, and purchased them and to all the people that attended this function.

A pigeon was sent down by Mr Andy Stokes and Family especially to raise money for young Harvey's much needed operation. Trevor Jenkin obtained permission to raffle this bird and it raised over £100, so thanks to Mr John Angwin for selling the tickets and raising such a large amount. The winner then surprised every one by saying that the bird could then be re - auctioned, and this second auction raised a further £110 for Harvey. Andy and family thank you so much for your kindness towards Harvey, it is much appreciated.

There was a wonderful gesture suggested by John Angwin, he felt that Harvey's sister Laya had been such a great support to Harvey and had helped him so much , she had been to every function he had attended to support him and that she deserved something special.
So John , Trevor  and Gary presented her with a Polaroid camera, something her Mum said she had always wanted. Laya was thrilled, and then proceeded to take every ones picture!!!
To round the afternoon off Harvey's Mum and Dad were presented with a cheque for just over £1,700 from pigeons sold on Elimar, and proceeds of money raised on the day.
