This week is the first Young Bird race from Sleaford on the 3rd of August and was liberated in a South West wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is John & Jackie Hall of Hull on 1485. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son Rob of Whitby on 1393. Topping the West Section is George Atkinson of Driffield club on 1457. Topping the South Section is Colin Cadwallender of Hornsea on 1458. Well done to everyone

Central Section:

 

Hull Millennium Club. 7 members sent 146 birds with the red card going to John & Jackie Hall on 1485 with a self bred Busschaert off the late John Hill x Sayers bros. Van Winkle. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1345 with a self bred Herman Ceuster stock. Third place went to John & Jackie Hall on 1289 with a self bred Busschaert off the late John Hill stock. Fourth place went to John & Jackie Hall on 1485 with a Karel Boeckx.

Nafferton Flying Club. 3 members sent 79 birds with the red card Third & Fourth places going to Oliver Shaw on 1468 1337 & 1277. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Tate on 1455.  

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 130 birds with the club welcoming George Atkinson. The red card and Second place went to George Atkinson on 1457 & 1457 with a pair of Vandenabeeles. Third place went to George Atkinson again on 1456 with a Jan Arden. Fourth place went to Geoff Acey on 1454 with a Jos Thorne x Vandenabeeles. Arthur Welford Sponsor was 1st G. Acey 2nd 3rd & 4th I. Waggott & G/son.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 125 birds with the red card Second and Third places going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1439 1304 & 1299 with three Ardens x Husky Van Reels. Second place went to Dennis Smith on 1362 with a Ashbreck gift bird.  

North Hull Club. 4 members sent 54 birds with the red card and fourth place going to new member Dario Sultan (Alan Stones G/Son) on 1353 & 1287 with a pair of Ceusters x Soontjens. Second place went to Barry Kipling on 1328 with a late Vic Walsh Ko Nipius. Third place went to S. Siddle on 1289 with a Dave Palmer Janssen gift bird.  

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 5 members sent 102 birds with the red card going to Bri Rowson on 1302 with a hen off his Blacks crossed. Second place went to Bri Rowson on 1301 with a Soontjen cock. Third place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1276 with a Vandenabeele x with his own stock. Fourth place went to Bri Rowson on 1271 with a Soontjen

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 204 birds with the red card going to Jim Lowther & Son on 1457 with a Janssen. Second place went to A & K Hajduk on 1338 with a Moris Matthew. Third place went to M. Szifer on 1280 with one off Shaun Haigh of Barnsley. Fourth place went to Jim Lowther & Son on 1279 with a Janssen.

Holderness Flying Club. 5 members sent 281 birds with the red card going to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1454 with a Sablon x Van der Merwe hen off their best stock pair.

Second place went to Chris Syrett on 1402 with a Janssen. Third place went to Chris Syrett on 1333 with a Jan Arden x Vandenabeele. Fourth place went again to Chris Syrett 1276.

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 277 birds with the red card going to Bell & Evans on 1422. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1414. Third and Fourth places went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1414 &1413. 

Bridlington D.F.C. 4 members sent 34 birds with the red card and Second place going to 2 young fanciers Riley and Kian Wilkinson on 1382 & 1291 with a pair of Lambrech gift birds off Mr and Mrs R Ashcroft of Hornsea. Third place went to Harry Smith on 1237 with a self bred. Fourth place went to Norman Robinson on 1204 with a self bred.

Withernsea Homing Society. 6 members sent 157 birds with the red card Second & Fourth places going to Tony Meek on 1187 & 1080 & 1028. Third place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1064. 

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 126 birds with the red card and Second place going to our oldest member Dave Pickering on 1302 & 1275 with a pair of self bred Tony Robsons Marina Vander Veldes. Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1231 with a Staff Van Reet. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1210 with a Hereman Ceuster.      

Whitby Premier Club. 3 members sent 93 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1393 with a Louis Thijs Herman Ceuster cock. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1393 with one bred by his good friend Frans de Coux. Third place went to 86yr old president Brian Smithson on 1387 with a natural cock bred from his own family flying to the perch. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1364 with a Frans Maris x Louis Thijs cock all Robs birds are darkness and flying to the perch.

 

Norton club had a separate liberation this week.
