YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Huntingdon on the 20th of April was liberated in a Light North East wind. Topping the Combine and the North Section is Rob Mallinson of Whitby on 1444. Topping the West Section is Maurice Hodgson of Norton on 1384.Topping the Central Section is Kev Kingston & Family of Hull on 1364. Topping the South Section is Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley and Tony Ellis of Bridlington on 1354. Well done to everyone

Coastal North Section: Whitby Premier Club. 9 members sent 234 birds with the red card for the second week going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1444 with a 3yr old self bred 3yr old Louis Thijs which has now had 3 x1st 5th 2 x 7th Huntingdon 7th Billericay. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1441 with a consistent self bred L. Thijs which has had 1st Battle 2nd open, 1st 4 x 3rd Huntingdon 3rd 6th 8th Cheltenham 5th huntingdon, Newark Peterborough also a 2nd 3rd and 4th open. Third place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1437 with a self bred Paul Fisher of Blackpool yearling Bosua roundabout hen which has had as a young bird a 1st 5th and 8th Huntingdon also winning all the pools.  Fourth place went to James McCourt & Son Dale on 1437 with a roundabout Hereman Ceuster hen bred by Gary Cox of Hull which was 7th last week. Scarborough Social Club. 8 members sent 127 birds with the red card and Second places going to Derek Howard/Paddy Johnson/Roger Grundy on 1366 & 1352 with their Keith Arkless pigeons. Third place went to Andy Moon on 1352 with a 3yr old gift bird off Dave Pickering. Fourth place went to Dave Pickering on 1350 with a Ken & Sue Skelton 2yr old cock which won last week from Sleaford.    

West Section   

Norton I. Flying Club. 10 members sent 179 birds with the red card going to Maurice Hodgson on 1384 with a Rob Mallinson cock. Second place went to S. Robinson on 1382 with a Homer Williams cock. Third and Fourth places went to Alan Gill on 1376 with a pair of Antony Moor Geerincks.  

Central Section

Nafferton Flying Club. 8 members sent 62 birds with the red card, Second and Third places going to John Raines on 1354, 1325 and 1316 with his family of birds. Fourth place went to Sam Jackson on 1309 with a self bred

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 10 members sent 140 birds with the red card going to B. Rowson on 1327 with a Soontjen. Second and Fourth places went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1300 and 1286 with a pair of Koopman x Vandenabeele. Third place went to Williams Bros on 1287 with a Janssen cock.

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 207 birds with the red card going to I. Tuttle on 1357 with a Vandenabeele x Herman Ceuster. Second place went to Ian Tuttle on 1351 with a Herman Ceuster off best racer. Third place went to Ian Tuttle on 1312 with a brother to the winner. Fourth place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1309 with one from the Gerry McCall guiness factory. 

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 102 birds with the red card for the second week going to Harry Wallace on 1291 with a Mark Gannen of Stockton Ceuster. Second, Third & Fourth places going to Foster & Bennett on 1287, 1278 and 1277.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 80 birds with the red card and Third & Fourth places going to George Atkinson 1373,1344 and 1304 with his old family. Second place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1364 with a Wain Brownley pigeon. 

Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 99 birds with the red card going to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1337 with a Foxwood lofts Geerincks taking its first card.  Second place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1335 with a Foxwood lofts Geerincks taking its Second card. Third place went to Ian Waggott & Grandson on 1330 with one of his own breed taking its second card. Fourth place went to Colin Sedman on 1316 with a Jos Soontjen from his old stock. Arthurs sponsor was won by Ian Waggott Colin Sedman Ian Waggott Geof & Gary Ringrose.

North Hull Club. 7 members sent 55 birds with the red card and second place going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1267 and 1265 with a pair of Van Reets multi card winner. Third place went to S. Siddle on 1265 with a Jamie Emmanuel Van Reet. Fourth place went to Barry Kipling on 1237 with a Hereman Ceuster from his last few originals.

Wawne Ferry Club. 10 members sent 152 birds with the red card going to M. Szifer on 1284 with a Koopman. Second place went to T. Grantham & Son on 1278 with a Roland Janssen. Third place went to A & K Hajduk on 1277 with a Staff Van Reet. Fourth place went to M. Szifer on 1276 with a Busschaert gift bird off a friend Rafal Kowalski.

Flamborough Homing Society. 12 members sent 472 birds with the red card going to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1354 with a Vandenabeele which has had 4 firsts and topped the Combine. Second place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1353 with a Sablon x Brockamp which has had 3 firsts. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1351 with a 2yr old multi winning Ceuster hen. Fourth place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1349 with a Soontjen cock which was 4th last week.

Bridlington D.F.C. 10 members sent 161 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1331 with a hen. Second place went to Riley & Kian Wilkinson on 1328 with a Janssen. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1318 with a Stuart Knowles Ceuster.
