YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

 

This week the race from Arras on the 19th May was liberated in a North East turning Easterly wind. Topping the Combine and the West Section is Mick Burdett of Norton on 1442. Topping the North Section is Bob Mallinson of Whitby on 1438. Topping the South section is Harry Smith of Bridlington on 1401. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1390. Well done to everyone

West Section

 Norton I. Flying Club.

13 members sent 153 birds with the red card and Second place went to Mick Burdett on 1442 on 1429 with a pair of Drapas x Leemputtens. Third place went to new member Snowy Jefferys on 1415 with a S. Robinson bred bird. Well done Snowy. Fourth place went to H. Jackson on 1397 with a Van Reet from old breed. A Freer wins the pools £33 well done Andy a bit towards another holiday.  

Eastrington P. F. C.

7 members sent 43 birds with the red card going to Rob Nicholls on 1404 with a Vandenabeele which won a channel race last year. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1395 with a Vandenabeele. Third place went to Rob Nicholls on 1385 with a Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to Steve Neale on 1366 ith a Derek Rooney x R. Brumby Vandenabeele which was reported in Germany from Arras last year and managed to make its way home.

Mallinson & Son on 1438 with a 3yr old Louis Thijs hen has had 2nd 4th 5th Huntingdon and a 4th Arras 5th Clermont.  Second place went to Mark Noble & Son Kieran on 1427 who where at Wembley to watch the FA cup final so asked good friend Ian Laws to do the birds Ian got a fright when he went to loft to find one already in panic started he picked it up and put it over the pad but not use to ETS did not no if it timed so rang Mark at Wembley only to be told it was one from last week, Ian clock a 5yr old Ian Stafford Jos Thone roundabout hen which has had 2 x 2nd 1 x 3rd over channel and minor cards inland  also wins the pools. Third place went to Brian Storr Bros & Son Jason on 1420 with a 7yr old Atkinson & Perkins of Billingham hen which has scored on channel before. Fourth place went to Brian Storr Bros & Son Jason on 1414 with a 4yr old hen had cards before over the channel.

Scarborough Social Club.

7 members sent 50 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1373 with a pure Hardy Kruger which has had a 1st 5th and 6th Peterborough 1st Huntingdon and 6th Chelmsford. Second place went to Martin Wood on 1355 with a Sablon. Third place went to Martin Wood on 1329 with a Mari Rietveld from Lexmond. Fourth place went to Steve Patchett on 1290 with a Desmott Matis which has scored before.    

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club.

Second place went to Brian Rowson on 1287 with a Soontjen cock which has won on the channel twice now and won nom from Battle. Third place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1279 with a Phil Sullivan cock. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1277 with a Soontjen cock having had 3 x 1sts.

Hull Millennium Club.

Fourth place went to C & K Pallant with a 2yr old self bred cock off late Doug Mills which was lost in France as a young bird and wins the old cock show race. K Hara Nomination cup was W. Hagston & Son.

Nafferton Flying Club.
