PAIRING HEAD WIND PIGEONS TOGETHER.
I like this practice ,as the birds have demonstrated guts and stamina, and determination to come home in difficult winds. They often have buoyant bodies and silky feather, and sound internal characteristics of brain ,organs and spirit. I prefer to inbreed these good birds into the strain, using Barcelona International as the selection criterion. A great many birds in the UK remain to be properly tested-a fool proof way of arriving at a good bird! I like velocities between 300 and 1200 ypm from distances between 500 and 900 miles from over the English Channel.

PSYCHOSIS AND CREATIVITY
I am convinced that psychosis can be the genesis of creativity in art and literature, and that perceptions of genius and madness are the product of value judgements and convention. The world of the imagination is limited only by the gifts of the individual human. In my 8 books ,the essence has been truth as I see it, which may give weight to the ideas and images that have flowed from consciousness. Writing is egocentric and the process is mood changing, and may lead to euphoria, with an impact on the brain/mind synthesis. Imagineers like Rowling are deeply introverted and withdraw into an alternative universe in the act of creation. I see it as an alternative to lunacy, as books are the objective result in the so called external world of reality. The world of high culture is awash with psychosis and creativity.

OUTBREEDS INTO THE HARVEY/EMERTON STRAIN.
Into our inbred Emerton Strain of 42 years we are using 3 Jim Donaldson’s/ 1 Bert Shepherd/ 1 Polish Pigeon/ I Schlepphorst Stichelbaut/ 1Marco Wilson and a Wright. They are all bred in the purple, arranged by me and all but one inbred to top performance birds. The concept is revealing hybrid vigour by testing all the progeny out to 710 miles Barcelona International. By the same token we have many pairs inbred to my own performance origins from 71 to 879 miles, which are like peas in a pod, being descended from my 7 foundation birds many years ago. The key factor in my career is strain production-a very personal thing to do.
