He started by working towards his dream of winning Barcelona with a small racing pigeon loft, and over time, he developed his knowledge and skills, as life tends to he was forced to leave the sport for over 30 years while he pursued a career and had a family.

In 2012 David entered his first distance race with his pigeons and came 1st club and got on the sect sheet in the French race of 550 miles, which was a significant achievement for a beginner. This success inspired him to work harder and aim higher, and he began to breed pigeons that were more resilient and had better endurance, his pigeon strain of choice was the magnificent Marcel Braakhuis pigeons from the Golde Couple, often referred to as The Black Mudererers, because of the mainly Dark cheq almost black colouring.

David's efforts paid off and he soon became known for his marathon/long-distance racing pigeons. In 2017, he attempted the first real test of the strength for his birds entering 5 birds in the national Brive a distance of a staggering 805 miles clocking 4 out of 5 and three of them in race time winning the 3 furthest prize birds in Germany. This victory marked the beginning of David's rise to prominence in the world of marathon racing.

Over the past ten years, David's success in marathon/long-distance pigeon racing has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has won numerous top sect and open placing in national competitions, beating top-performing fanciers from all over Germany.

David's secret to success lies in his dedication to his pigeons.
