The Brit Ish Show Racer Fed Report 23-12-19

“The Original” Around The Up North Combine

The British Show Racer Federation (Northern Region) By Keith Simpson

The British Show Racer Federation (Northern Region) was held at Snainton Village Hall, Scarborough on Sunday 17th November 2019 with the Show being organised by the North East Counties Show Racer Society on behalf of the British Show Race Federation. The entries were down a little on previous years, but on saying that the organisers still attracted support from exhibitors from all over the North of England and Scotland. The Standard of birds was very high, and the competition was top-drawer, with both the Best In Show and the Best Opposite Sex winners having had previous Best In Shows at Classic Shows in 2018, namely at Kingdom Open Show and the North Of England Homing Union Show Of The Year.

The organisers would like to thank all the exhibitors for their support and a special thanks to Class Judges Tom Newton, Peter Brookshaw & Keith Story and the Specials Judge Robert Parnaby who gave up their time to come along and do a very difficult job. Thanks also go out to Ann & Zoe for selling the raffle tickets, and Lucy for doing the kitchen with a little assistance from her Dad Steve. And not forgetting all the members who helped in both setting up the pens and taking them down at the end of the Show and tidying up afterwards.
