CORK FEDERATION

Cork Area News:

2015 Show

The Cork Federation decided to reintroduce their annual show at 'The Commons Inn Hotel' on Saturday the 21st of November. The success of the event was a major talking point for many days and weeks after and many members are already asking if the event will occur again next year. Well the answer is 'yes' and we hope to improve the show for the coming year. We are currently in talks with other bird clubs to hopefully show birds in the secondary hall and also advertise it more to the public for the oncoming year we have also been approached by various animal feed and equipment suppliers to supply stalls on the day so members can stock up on equipment for the season without the need to travel. This is just an insight on what to expect in the future. We would also like to thank Elimar for the advertising on their site.

The event itself was a huge success with all proceeds going to the federation transporter fund. This fund has been started for the eventual replacement of the transporter should the need arise. We would like to thank the Dublin Show Committee for the loan of the show pens and prize cards for the event they are indeed a great help to all organisations wishing to promote the sport and are always welcome on Leeside.

The judges for the event were truly top class and to have judges of this calibre under the one roof was an honour for the federation committee we wish to thank each and every one of them for their kind donations for our auction and we certainly hope those of you that stayed enjoyed the hotel.
