The Derek Wishart Memorial Classic race was flown on the 8th of June the same day as the Bude race and with a light WSW wind the birds liberated at 7.15 am romped home at over 60 mph. Out in front was the Portavogie father & son partnership of Jim & Ronnie Young who on 1837ypm were a yard ahead of Bangor’s Burgess & Brennan with Bangor’s Reggie & David Moore 3rd . Alastair Bradley of Ballynahinch had the next two and the top 6 was completed by Cloughey’s Harper & Young the full result was:
