TRIMBLE & SON TOPS AGAIN

Saturday June 15th saw the East Down Combine back in Fermoy for the 3rd race from there and the weather in the East of Northern Ireland was far from good in the morning with rain low cloud and mist . However it was clearing from the South and all credit once again to the weather committee and race controllers who had calculated correctly that by liberating in the early part of the morning in the WSW wind the clearance would have arrived at the home end before the birds and ahead of the very heavy thundery showers forecast for the latter part of the day and this was just what happened with a 9.35am liberation the Bangor birds flying 200miles up to Bangor in the North of the Combine started to arrive from 1.15 onwards and most reported great returns .

The Open winners however were again this week in the South of the Combine to the Annalong club and the “In Form” lofts of John Trimble & Son who the previous week had won the Open from Bude and who this week have 1st & 2nd open from Fermoy with two more birds in the top 40 of the open and these win 1st & 2nd East section .With the WSW wind the open winner recorded a velocity of 1701 ypm .

Gordon Bros & Sons had another outstanding result winning from 3rd to 18th Open and then a further 10 birds in the Open result . Details of some of their birds are as follows;

 

 

 

The hen that won 6th Open 3rd Fermoy on Saturday has also won ; 1st Open EDC Mallow , 10th open Tullamore 2708 birds, 12th open NIPA Tullamore 19,146 birds beaten by 10 loft mates , 33rd open Mallow Classic , 42nd Open Fermoy NIPA 12,018birds 49th open Roscrea 7021 birds, 273rd open Dunmanway 5272 birds.

The hen which won 7th Open 3rd Fermoy had previously won ,3rd Open Mallow ,4th Open NIPA Fermoy 5495 birds , 6th Open Tullamore 5294 birds, 8th open 1669 birds Fermoy ,12th open 2729 birds Thurles ,15th open Fermoy 3381 birds ,17th open Fermoy 4126 birds , 33rd open Fermoy NIPA 12018 birds , 35th open Thurles 5194 birds ,17th section F Roscrea 1158 birds & 8th section F 5 bird classic

The hen that won 22nd open on Saturday, has so far this season already won 1st Open Tullamore, 14th open Fermoy beaten by a loft mate, 18th Open Mallow and last season she won 11th Open Thurles 2729 birds and 28th open NIPA Fermoy. And she is raced roundabout.

The hen that won 23rd had won 2nd open 2nd Tullamore and 2nd Open Fermoy beaten by loftmates on both occasions she was also 30th Open Mallow this season, and last year had won the following Open positions 3rd,23rd,36th . This hen was racing roundabout .

At 4th open is a cheq cock also raced roundabout and is he from Les Green bloodlines. He won 1st open 2nd Fermoy and 38th open Mallow classic
