The winning pigeon of Reggie & David Moore’s is a blue cock. Bloodlines are Willie Jacobs and Grondelaar from birds from Gerald Delaney and this cock went to Skibbereen feeding a youngster of about a week old and had already proved himself having been in the prizes from both Mullingar and Tullamore.

The 2nd Mount Charles saw the birds being released on Saturday September 6th at 9.30am into a NW wind which kept velocities in the 1200s. Leading the open this week was the Annalong partnership of Kevin Rooney, son & dtr who had two together for 1st and 2nd open 1st and 2nd East Section. The West section also saw a loft take 1st and 2nd section also with two together and these were to the Crossgar partnership of McCartan & Woodsides. Top Open and section places were:

The North West wind made for a steady race. Tommy Horner, Crossgar, had a good day clocking two good birds to finish 15th & 16th West Section E.D.C. Bird Ring No. 10212 vel 1241 to collect £50. Close behind, in the same velocity of 1241, Bird Ring No.10242 wins £30. Jim Young, Dundonald, takes the 3rd Hot Spot with Bird Ring No. 10019 vel 1229 lifting £20. Next weekend will be our final Hot Spot for this year.
