Yorkshire Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire SR Combine Prostrate Cancer Race
The YND held its supporting Cancer charity race from Guernsey in the Channel Islands where their supporting charity, now for a number of flying seasons, has been the Prostrate Cancer charity. This race ran alongside the main YND combines Guernsey (2) race already reported on but this was a separate event and birds had to be activated by the fanciers for this great charity and this raised a cheque to the value of £1,800 that will be paid to the well-deserved Charity.
These birds were liberated together with the main Combine Birds and some great prizes for these achieving birds that took positions are waiting at the presentation evening event which will soon be announced and the venue booked with hospitality prizes, leisure prizes, food & drink prizes, pigeon products and many, many other prizes are on offer to support those achieving birds that aided a great cause.
To the result now and the top twenty two birds in the Guernsey Prostrate Cancer Race 2021. 8th was Rob Richmond flying 284 miles plus 2nd little Barnsley Federation 1st MonkBretton FC & 19th YND combine with a 2y Dark Soojen widowhood cock doing 1205.767.

16th was the Tunningley Brothers flying 295 miles plus achieving 1st Central Yorkshire Federation and 1st Knottingley HS & 41st YND combine with a 4y red hen that is unfortunately barren and does not lay eggs. She is a Lambrecht’s that was bred by Alan Postlethwaite of Kendal Cumbria purchased in a kit of 6 young birds she has achieved many club and federation cards for the brothers including another 1st federation in the Central Yorkshire federation and is a good loyal hen for them and is such a shame they cannot breed from her their velocity was 1178.

20th was the partnership of B & J Potts & Varley of the Nottingham SR Federation flying 269 miles and achieving 50th YND combine with a 2y blue roundabout system flown hen which is of their own breeding that is based from the old Morris Mathews x Jansens and her grandfather won Poitiers twice for the partnership when they flew in the Derbyshire SR Federation and won them the prestigious Poitiers trophies her velocity was 1172.
