The Nottingham North Road federation held its fourth young bird race of the season from Darlington cattle Market in County Durham moving up from the previous 2 x Harrogate races the birds were liberated at 08.30am on the 28/8/21 into a light north wind.

The top ten positions in the federation were as follows winning the federation plus also claiming second federation was Rick Shelton flying 111 Miles Rick’s both birds being 2 x chequer hens that were on the darkness system separated from the cocks and on the sliding door system were they both descend from the late Neil Niger’s Herman Cuesters his first bird a double Granddaughter of Neil’s direct hen from off Olympiad & Rossi line Cuesters which Neil had direct and his second bird the same way bred but a Great Granddaughter from the direct hen Neil obtained Rick’s velocities were 1604 & 1603.

3rd federation was Phillip Rowson flying 112 miles with a Herman Cuesters hen that was bred by Chris Vasey of the north east and purchased in a kit of six young birds that Phill purchased she was flown on the Darkness system separated sexes on the sliding door system his velocity was 1602.

4th, 5th & 6th federation was the UK Team Polish partnership flying lofts flying 110 miles Lucaz informs us three birds came together to the loft flying on the darkness system with both sexes left together on natural their first bird a Leon Bores followed by a Huysken Van Riel then a Desmet Mathers bird their velocities were 1600, 1595 & 1594.

7th federation was Raffa Barutowicz flying 112 miles with a Polish family based blue hen flying on natural back to the perch doing 1592.

8th federation being the federation furthest flyers was Mr & Mrs Pateman & Son flying 133 Miles with a blue hen flown on the traditional natural young bird system she is bred from a cock from fellow Syston club mate Michael Thorpe paired to a home bred Jansen hen her velocity was 1591.
