Millbridge North Road

We would like to invite members who wish to fly the North Road to join our new club- Millbridge North Road. We will be flying the North Road starting with Young Birds 2023. The club is open as far as Harrogate and down to South Yorkshire, Eastern boundary being anything West of the A1, Western Boundary being Bradford/Halifax/Huddersfield. The boundaries give opportunity to enable fanciers from a wider radius to join and fly in the club. which has been accepted and affiliated by the North West Homing Union.

The last few years have been a very difficult time for all, and has brought several challenges to flying long distance. A lot of research, thought and consideration has been involved in the decision to fly North. We feel this will give the fanciers who have been disillusioned by being unable to fly continental races from France the opportunity to fly distance once again without loft vet visits and potentially other added costs.

Four of us have invested a lot of time and determination in setting up this venture along with purchasing a 7.5 Ton wagon which will carry approx. 2700 birds. The wagon has full watering and electric fan system complete with ventilated sides to give our birds the best possible transition to race points. It has had a full mechanical health check and is ready to go for the YB 2023

We have overcome a lot of recent obstacles and challenges and are incredibly excited about the new journey ahead and have great ideas for the future ahead to be discussed with club members. We welcome input, suggestion and new initiatives from all members of the club.  We hope you will join us on our new journey!

A meeting will be held at the head quarters below on the 22^nd March 7.30 pm. We hope to take membership applications along with the payment of subscriptions. The club has a limited capacity and membership will be on a “first come first served basis”.
