The SWELC was at Ashbourne in Derbyshire at the foot base of the  Peak District on the 29/6/24 at 9.30 am Peter got the birds on their way into a west south west wind the top open twenty in the club are as follows  at the top perch was the double duo of Steve and Phil of Dursley of the Walker Brothers flying 90miles their winner that also claims first Longford club is a 1y blue cock being a Rudy Van Reeth crossed Van Den Bulck and his dam having previously topped the SWELC from Coventry and won the Longford breeder buyer from Hexham winning a hefty prize pot in the wallet as always at the Longford breeder buyer event dose he was flown on the natural system sitting 12 day old nest eggs with a  winning velocity of 1426.

2nd open plus 1st South Bristol club was Andy George flying 112 miles with a 2y blue cock that's had a selection of 1st wins to his belt and other cards from short sprint to right up to Scotland for Andy he was purchased at the new north Road amalgamations Futurity sale 2022 and was bred by Ian Rockley of Calverton Nottingham being bred from George Bell birds he was flown on the widowhood system with a velocity of 1423.

3rd open plus 1st Oldland Club was Adrian Bishop flying 110 miles with a 3y chequer hen of origins and bloodlines of Brian Olver of Bristol birds flown on the roundabout system doing 1422.

4th open and 1st Sodbury vale club was Mark Pitman flying 100 miles with a 3y blue hen being a Soojen crossed Morris Verheye flown on the widowhood system with a velocity of 1420.775.

5th,6th,7th and 8th open plus 2nd, 3rd and 4th South Bristol club was Andrzej Stanowski flying 113 miles his first a 1y blue white flight hen being bred by the late Alan Deganinis of Deganinis & Finn partnership of Bristol the second a 3y blue hen from Mirek Chwedorouk birds the third a 1y red cock being a Van Den Bulck and the final arrival a 1y chequer cock being a blend creation of Leen Bores, Joss Joosen, Karl Heinz and Mirage 32 lines all were flown on the roundabout system with velocities of 1420.069, and 3 x 1419.

9th open was independent member Gavin Duggan flying 63 miles doing 1411.

10th, 11th, 19th and 20th open was Percy Hatherell flying 104 miles and claiming 2nd and 3rd Sodbury vale club doing 1399, 1398.959, 1390.523 and 1390.173.

12th open was Alan Meacham flying 112 miles with a 5y blue cock being a Van Den Bulck flown on the widowhood he's a previous winner of several firsts for Alan his velocity was 1398.947.

13th open was Orchard & Vincent flying 83 miles and also achieving 2nd Longford club with a 1y blue cock being a Rudy Van Reeth crossed Staff Van Reet raced on the natural system driving his hen to nest with a velocity of 1398.936.

14th open was independent member Gary Carter flying 64 miles doing 1396.

15th open was Dave Smith flying 102 miles and taking 4th Sodbury Vale club with a 1y chequer cock being a Bushart sent on the natural system sitting 10 day old nest eggs doing 1394.821.

16th open was Chris & John Adams flying 105 miles with a 3y chequer hen of Coremans based bloodlines flown on the widowhood system doing 1394.318.

18th open was D & M Moore flying 116 miles with a 1y chequer Bushart hen doing 1390.806. A good tight finished race in the top twenty well done to all.
