The TNNRA north sections Futurity race to report on was flying for £27,239.76 after running costs this was scheduled for the 21/9/24 at Dunbar Scotland in the full weekend and leading to Monday and Tuesday after the weekend the weather forecast in Scotland and the north east of England was of dismal forecast and very poor with not really a window of opportunity other organisations risked it and had to bring the birds back after several days in a create but taking note of the weather advisory team the race was totally postponed for that full weekend thanks must go to the weather team for the right decision which is a hard one to make at times for any organisation with the negative comments of some fanciers so the event took place on the 28/9/24 from Dunbar and the birds were liberated at 9.00am into a west wind on site in full sunshine the £27,239.76 was paid out to the first 50 positions of both racer and breeder.

The top ten in the result are as follows; winning the event and also scoring in and out of the top ten of 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th was Robert Pearson of Kilburn Derbyshire winning a total of £6,741.84 flying 214 miles Roberts young bird team are flown on the darkness system separated from both sexes and trained as much as it can be possible with new tyres needed on his van after young bird racing is over the sexes are shown together prior to marking and on race day return the winner a chequer hen was bred by Ian Bargh of chesterfield and is bred from birds of Aspley & Wraggsdale of chesterfield of Van loon crossed Van lint Ian Bargh wins £4,188.11. Robert's 6th and 7th birds were both pure performance Lambrechts bred by Kevin Lawson of Ollerton being a Dark pied hen followed by a chequer hen Kevin wins £708.23. Robert's 8th bird a chequer cock being a Soojen bred by John Jackson of Ilkeston John wins with other scoring birds out the top ten John wins £529.81 Robert's 10th was bred by himself of a chequer cock being of Lambrecht’s bred out of previously scoring Futurity birds of 2023 obtained and bred by Kevin Lawson and Alan Dungworth of Mexborough Rotherham Robert's top ten velocities were 1457, 1419, 2 x 1418 at 1418.646, 1814.466 and 1417.

Taking 2nd place plus scoring other positions out the top ten flying 206 miles was Darren Oakley of south Normanton this being bred by Darren and purchased back Darren won £4,995.77. His first a chequer hen doing 1454 and being a Lambrechts hen on the darkness sent rearing a nest old 20 day old youngster and was hopper fed in the loft mixes of Beyers corn and being trained regularly at the 35 mile mark and flew Berwick previously were he achieved some good federation positions Darren informs us.

3rd and 4th plus other positions out of the top ten was Darren Hadfield of Selston winning £3,665.11 flying 208 miles his first a dark white flight hen being a home bred David Peeters crossed Vercammen crossed Lambrechts and the second a grizzle hen being bred by John Holmes of Selston and being a David Peeters both hens came together with the dark hen through the trap first and were on the darkness system flying back to their perches fed on Aidi corn with Aidi supplements added to their corn with velocities of 1425 and 1424. John Holmes won £815.83.

5th and 9th plus other positions out the top ten was Kevin and Donna Spires of Wollaton Nottingham flying 217 miles with the first a blue pied hen and the second a mealy pied  hen and both being bred by Ion Pirvu of Tamworth the first is bred from ions hen called Rolex which scored and raced in the Arona Tenerife Atlantic one loft race which he purchased her back and the father paired to Rolex a cock from Simon Parkinson of Doncaster the mealy hens parents are both of Ions own created strain bred down from off Rolex blended with federation and club scoring birds he's created Kevin flew the birds on the darkness system on his own successful young bird system with velocities of 1422 and 1418.034. Kevin and Donna won £810.38 and ion Won £810.38.

Well that's the 10 out of 50 scoring birds of prizes this year’s Futurity is being flown from Perth on the 13/9/25 and the other amalgamation races are as follows Perth 24/5/25 Elgin 7/6/25 Lerwick 21/6/25 Thornton Park 28/6/25 Thurso 12/7/25 6/9/25 Dunbar and 13/9/25 Perth.
