Nottingham North Road Federation - Creiff

The Nottingham North Road federation held an old bird championship race from Creiff in Perthshire and Kinross, the normal regular destination is Perth but due to the corona virus outbreak the Perth liberation site was out of attendance and also was Thornton Park so luckily Creiff was available and this being a new venture for most federation members to fly.

The day of the race was not welcomed with low cloud and heavy rain directly on the main line of flight all day and this was traveling faster covering on more areas so a holdover was called so the birds were fed and watered by convoyer Ian Daikin.  On the next morning a clear sunny line of flight and clear liberation site it was time to liberate the birds on the 19/7/20 at 6.30 am the 406 birds sent by 40 members were liberated by Ian Daikin into a north west wind.

Extending more wins and requiring a new cupboard drawer to place all their federation cards inside was the partnership of Riggott & Richardson of Ollerton who took 1st,2nd,6th & 7th federation flying 246 miles and winning £90 with their team of Lambrecht and Wildesmersch widowhood cocks their velocities were two birds dropping together on 1647.756 & 1747.652 then another two birds together on 1628.275 & 1628.174.
