The Nottingham North Road federation young bird season got off to a flying start with the first race to report on being flown from Harrogate Town on the 2/8/20 the 1,027 young birds were liberated at 07.30am into a west north west wind into full summer sunshine to the top federation positions were the Ollerton OutLaws dominated the game again in the form of two gold plated lofts with first up the North Road breathing man of Kevin Lawson who takes the glory of first federation and then 2nd, 3rd, 4th , 5th, & 6th federation flying 57 miles with his darkness team of Lambrecht’s Herman Ceusters and some old faithful van Loons in the shake up his winner is a Chequer Lambrecht’s hen bred from out the stock loft out Kevin’s number one stock Pair his velocities were 1472, 1471, 1469, 1467, 1460, & 1459.

Taking 7th, 8th, 9th , 10th & 11th federation was the Walton Brothers of Ollerton flying 56 miles with their Lambrecht’s & Wildesmersch with velocities of 1454, 1452, 1430, 1428 & 1425.

Taking 1st, 2nd ,3rd, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th & 13th Federation was the Polish Partnership of UK Team of the Urbaniak family. Their federation winner, a silver cock flying 79 miles the bird was a gift bred bird by fellow club mate of Shaun Pilgrim and it is a Stickers Donkers bred out of Shaun’s Mealy fed Topping cock when he flew the south road route in 2019.  Their 3rd federation bird a Chequer cock was also a gift bred bird by Shaun and this one being a Grandson bred from the famous Dutch Master which is the brother to the famous Syndicate Drum pigeon.  All the other birds for the partnership are bred from obtained stock from their close polish fancier in Glastonbury, Somerset of Mirek Chwedoruk who is achieving some good performances in the south west of England South Road combine their velocities were two birds together on 1729 then 1728, 2 x 1702, 2 x 1701 & 1696.
