Finally, the highest prize-winner for the 2021 season was Billy Watkins, who was helped by his "Billy's Bullet" bred by Mark Edwards who topped the Club 5 weeks in succession in the young bird season, scoring in the Fed twice. For the last couple of seasons Bill has been spending a bit more time with the birds and he is beginning to get his enjoyment back once again, with the help from his young Grandchildren Frankie, Henry, Lara and Arthur who are always willing to help their Grandad. Bill’s main family of pigeons consist of his Wells Fargo’s family from Mr “Superlou” Peter Wells of Dunstable, mixed in with pigeons from Simon Schofield and Tony Cripps. With others gifted to Bill last year by Johnny Chipperfield of Kent, Mark Bulled of Harlow and Johnny Black of Stotfold after finding out that a Fox had got into the loft killing his young bird team, with young birds being swapped this year with Mark Edwards which have worked really well so far.

Bill's performances for the 2021 season were 8x1st's, 7x2nd's, 7x3rd's, 2x4th's, 1x5th, and 2x6th's.

There were also other members who sent as well but just managed to finish outside the top 6 but finished in the top 10 most weeks.

The Club for the last few years has been running shows with some big-name Judges Judging each week,

But we will not be holding them this year, but we will be hoping to have them return back again next year.

We will also be having our monthly meetings as well as a Christmas get together and drink.

Before I end these notes, I have been asked by the Secretary  Steve Holloway to put that if anybody would be interested in joining the Enfield Continental Club for the 2022 season to get in touch with him,

also the Club now have a trailer so the Club will be doing weekly training for its members next season.

Now that all of the racing is over for the year, the Epsom show back again at the end of the month, then Doncaster and then the return of Blackpool again in January.

Until next time,

Take care
