YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week’s race from Sleaford on the 11th of August was liberated in a strong South West wind with excellent returns. Topping the Combine and the South Section is junior members Riley & Kian Wilkinson of Bridlington on 2032. Topping the Central Section is Kev Kingston & Family of Hull on 1824. Topping the North Section is Andy Moon of Scarborough on 1784. Well done everyone

Coastal South Section:

Bridlington D.F.C. 7 members sent 61 birds with the red card Second & Third place going to Riley & Kian Wilkingson on 2032 2025 & 2018 with three Lambrech gift birds off Bob & Sally Ashcroft of Hornsea two of which were 1st & 2nd last week. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1963 with one of his own family.

Holderness Flying Club. 2 members sent 88 birds with the red card going to John Wadsworth on 1707 with a self bred P & H Johnson bird which was first last week. Second place went to John Wadsworth on 1461 with a cock bred out of his long-distance specials !  Third and Fourth places went to Ken Lister on 1410 & 1409 with a pair of Hardy Krugers

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 203 birds with the red card going to John & Linda Chadwick on 1991. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles Colin Simpkin on 1982. Third place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1967. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1962 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 171 birds with the red card and third and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy on 1959 1930 1893. Second place went to Barry Blenkinsop on 1954.

Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 40 birds with the red card and second and third places going to Rob Keelty on 1317 1128 & 1094. Fourth place went to Dean Adamson on 1080

Central Section:

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 98 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1824 with a Jan Arden Second place went to Mr & Mrs Haldenby on 1764 with a Vandenabeele x Staff Van Reet. Third place went to D. Smith on 1699 with a Janssen. Fourth place went to T Walker on 1697 with a Vandenabeele.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 5 members sent 74 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1805 with a Soontjen x Olympia. Second place went to G. Rudd on 1722 with a Jan Arden. Third place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1665 with a hen off Phil Sullivan. Fourth place went to Bri Rowson on 1579 with a cock of his blacks.

Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 150 birds with the red card going to P. Stamford on 1789 with a B. Thornton Herman Ceuster well done to the new secretary Second place went to John & Julie Hall on 1783 with a self bred V. Moody Karel Boeckx. Third place went to John & Julie Hall on 1776 with a Karel Boeckx flying to the perch. Fourth place went to John & Julie Hall on 1773 with a self bred V. Moody x Late John Hill Busschaert.

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 96 birds with the red card going to J. W. Hubbard & son Patrick on 1595 with a Leo Hereman. Second place went to J. W. Hubbard & Son Patrick on 1506 with a Wildermerch x Busschaert. Third place went to G. W. Acey on 1393 with a Jos Thorne x Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to G. W. Acey on 1270 with a Hofken x Vandenabeele.

North Hull Club. 4 members sent 70 birds with the red card Second and fourth places going to D. Sultan on 1820, 1815 & 1780 all with his Alan Stone Soontjens x Ceusters. Third place went to Barry Kipling on 1807 with one off his old Ceuster families.

Nafferton Flying Club. 3 members sent 69 birds with the red card Second Third and  Fourth places going to Oliver Shaw on 1802, 1800, 1799 & 1799.   

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 174 birds with the red card and Second place going to M. Szifer on 1824 & 1820 with a pair off Shaun Haigh of Barnsley. Third place went to Jim Lowther & Son on 1717 with a Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to M. Szifer on 1680 with a gift bird from his friend Arthur Chmiel.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 5 members sent 82 birds with the red card going to Andy Moon on 1784 with a Dave Thompson Delbar gift bird. Second place went to Neil Rogers on 1764 Third Place went to Keith Todd on 1716 with a Staf Van Reet x Janssen. Fourth place went to Keith Todd on 1716 with a Hereman Ceuster.

Whitby Premier Club. 4 members sent 116 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson on 1697 with one off his friend Leon Badts of Beerzel flying to the perch. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son on 1697 with a Gert Heylens x hen on loan from J Douglass & Son flying to perch. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1693 with a Billy Thompson x Louis Thijs R.P.R.A winner on the sliding doors.  Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son with a cock bred by good friend Frans de Coux of Berlaar flying to perch.

West Section  had a separate liberation:

Norton I. Flying Club. 9 members sent 181 birds with the red card and Third going to H. Jackson on 1643 & 1642 with a pair of De Klaus x Wildersmeerch. Second place went to Howard Jackson on 1642 with a Mona Lisa off Micky Ganus USA x Syndicate Lofts. Fourth place went again to Howard Jackson on 1642 with a Syndicate Lofts x Van den Builk from Ian Stafford.
