YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Battle on the 21ST of July was liberated in a no wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis of Bridlington on 1594.  Topping the North Section is Peter Thorpe of Scarborough on 1573. Topping the Central Section is P. Carmichael of Hull on 1548. Topping the West Section is S. Woodward of Norton on 1500 Well done everyone on the last race of the season. We were all so sorry to hear of the passing away of Geoff Ringrose and John Hill they will be sadly missed.

Coastal South Section:

 

Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 120 birds with the red card and Third places going to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 1594 & 1586 with their winning family of pigeons. Second and Fourth places went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1586 & 1578 also with their winning pigeons. 

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 41 birds with the red card and Second places going to Mr & Mrs O Wilkinson on 1516 with a pair of Vandenabeeles bred from brother Ralph of Leeds. Third place went to Harry Smith on 1510 with one from his old family. Fourth place went again to Mr & Mrs Wilkinson on 1506 with a Janssen.

 

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 123 birds with the red card going to John Wadsworth on 1552 with one bred off his red wonder channel pigeon. Second and Third places went again to John Wadsworth on 1552 & 1552 with two off P & H Johnson stock. Fourth place went to Martin Weaver on 1545 no details.

 

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 75 birds with the red card and Second places going to Phil & June Edmond on 1545 & 1520 with his family of pigeons. Third and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy on 1520 and 1519 with his Vandenabeeles. 

 

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 41 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1493 with a Gordon Burton of Durham Koopman x Vandenabeele which has won before. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1472 with a Steve Turley bird. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1469 with a multi prize winning Sablon. Fourth place went again to Dave Beadle on 1466 with a Steve Turley pigeon.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 8 members sent 116 birds with the red card going to Pete Thorpe on 1573 with a Cawdon Costello prize winning Hardy Kruger x Sablon. Second place went to Andy Moon on 1550 with his multi prize winning 3yr old Tony Robson gift bird having had 2 x 2nds 2 x 3rds 2 x 5th this year. Third Place went to Pete Thorpe on 1538 with his multi prize winning Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Pete Thorpe on 1537 with a multi prize winning Janssen.     

 

Whitby Premier Club. 6 members sent 78 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son on 1567 with a 2yr old Frans de Coux x Louis Thijs cock which was combine last week he has also topped the combine before and has 1 x 2nd 3 x 7ths 1 x 6th 2 x 5th and an 8th. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son with a yearling widowhood Louis Thijs hen which has had 1 x 1st 1 x 4th 1 x 7th. Third place went to  S Mallinson & Son with a 2yr old Gert Heylen x Louis Thijs cock which has had 2 x 2nds 1 x 3rd  a 4th and 5th. Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son with a yearling Louis Thijs x Frans Maris cock. J Noble & Son win all the pools.

Central Section:

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 40 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Lenny King on 1494 which won last week and has now had 3 x 1st Second Third & Fourth places going to Mr & Mrs Lenny King again with his Cooremans and they are all previous winners.

 

Wawne Ferry Club. 3 members sent 44 birds with the red card going to A & K Hajduk on 1449 with a Vandenabeele. Second & Third places went to A & K Hajduk on 1445 & 1437 with a pair of Morris Matthews. Fourth place went again to A & K Hajduk on 1430 with a Staff Van Reet.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 6 members sent 62 birds with the red card going to P. C. Carmichael on 1548 with a Bri Wade x Evans Cuthbert Dave Robinson hen which was 2nd Chelmsford. Second place went to P. C. Carmichael on 1548 with a Jackson & Andrews x Gary Cox hen which has had cards before. Third place went to G. Rudd on 1544 with a cock off the Scruff Phil Sullivan bird. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1498 with a Coopman x Vandenabeele hen having had a first before.

 

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 112 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son on 1535 with a self bred Gary Cox Herman Ceuster which topped the combine last year from Battle. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1535 with a Paul Fisher from Blackpool yearling which has scored before. Third and Fourth places went again to Alan Stone & Son on 1534 & 1517 with a pair of Soontjens from the Guinness Factory.

 

Cottingham Homing Society.5 members sent 15 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1481 with a Wayne Brownley hen which has already won this year. Second place went to George Smith on 1464 with a Dave Robinson bird. Third and Fourth places went to John Rawson on 1452 & 1435 with a pair of self bred Marina Vander Velds.

 

Driffield Homing Society. 6 members sent 75 birds with the red card going to Ian Waggott & G/son on 1499 with a multi prize winning 7yr old Foxwood Lofts Geerincks having had 3 cards this year. Second place went to Geoff & Gary Ringrose on 1493 with a self bred 2yr old Mark Slater Gaby Vandenabeele was 4th from Billericay.  Third place went to Ian Waggott & G/son on 1492 with a multi prize winning 7yr old Foxwood Lofts Geerincks had two cards this year and is also sister to the winner.  Fourth place went to Geoff & Gary Ringrose on 1482 with a yearling Mr & Mrs Chadwick Albert Derwa and had a 2nd Huntingdon. A Welford Sponsor won by 1st & 2nd G & G Ringrose. 3rd Mr & Mrs Brumby, 4th I Waggott.

 

North Hull Club. 7 members sent 30 birds with the red card and third places going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1455 & 1449. Second place went to S. Siddle on 1479. Fourth place went to Barry Kipling on 1449. Hope you are feeling better Barry. 

Nafferton Flying Club. 2 members sent 14 birds with the red card and 6 places all going to young man Oliver Shaw on 1547 1535 1528 & 1504 nearly all yearling but one.  

West Section 

 

Norton I. Flying Club. 7 members sent 83 birds with the red card going to S. Woodward on 1500 with a 3yr old. Second place went to S. Woodward on 1491 with a yearling. Third place went to Alan Gill on 1489 with a 2yr old. Fourth place went to
