Colin Bush's
MEALY PAU HEN
The 2002 Pau Grand National proved a real tester with 'working' velocities - in other words it was tailor-made for pigeons evolved from lines which have been tested in the UK environment over many generations. Colin's mealy hen fitted the bill perfectly having her roots in the family of pigeons founded by his late father Ned (double King's Cup winner, Osman base), strands of which have stood his two brothers Neil and Keith in good stead, too. His mealy hen was flying around 650 miles from Pau into Derbyshire and recorded 8th open; her dam also scored in the same race. What beautiful hens they both were.
