Saturday 15-06-2019 and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Fougeres for the second of their federation special races. Forty members sent 416 birds which were liberated at 07-00 hours in a fresh west south west wind. Getting the gold medal and congratulations go to B & C Brelsford & Son (Woodhouse) on topping the fed and also taking third. Their winner was  a yearling blue hen doing 1969.7 followed by a two year old blue hen doing 1919 taking third Second fed was Selston members S & K. Purdy with a yearling cheq hen doing 1920.4.In fourth were Railway Inn North members V. Derricott & T. Poole with a two year old blue hen doing 1916.4.Poolsbrook members M & L Herbert were fifth with a three year old d/ch/hen doing 1835.0.Jepson & Bennett took sixth with a two year old dk/ch cock doing1831.2 M & A Sherwood ( Woodhouse ) were seventh with a yearling dk hen doing 1801.7.In eighth & tenth were Ward & Marsh Poolsbrook with a four year old cheq cock doing 1796.8 with their next pigeon doing 1756.4.In ninth were S. Tongue & Orme ( Poolsbrook ) with a two year old cheq hen doing 1771.0.

Club news.

Taking the first two in Woodhouse and topping the fed was B & C Brelsford & Son. Their winner & fed topper was a yearling blue hen doing 1969.7 followed by a two year old blue hen doing 1919.In third was M & A Sherwood with a yearling dk hen doing 1801.7. with Mr & Mrs A. Jackson in fourth with a two year old blue hen doing 1744.5.

 In Selston S & K. Purdy took three of the first four with a yearling cheq hen doing 1920.4 taking the the top spot followed by a yearling cheq cock doing 1732.3 in second and a yearling cheq hen doing 1716.2 taking fourth. In third were R & M Duffield with a yearling cheq hen doing 1717.3.

In Railway Inn North V. Derricott & T. Poole take the red card with a two year old blue hen doing 1916.4.

 In Poolsbrook the red card went to M & L Herbert with a three year old dk/ch hen doing 1835.0 followed by Jepson & Bennett in second with a dk/ch cock doing 1831.2 with Ward & Marsh in third with a four year old cheq cock doing 1796.8.and S. Tongue & Orme in fourth doing 1771.0 with a two year old cheq hen.

In Railway Inn South V. Mathews gets the winner with a two-year-old cheq hen doing 1748.5.

In Kilburn Club Ken Foulke takes first & second with a yearling red cock doing 1722.9 taking the red card followed by a three-year-old dark hen doing 1675.6 taking second. In third & fourth was Stewart Wainwright with a yearling dark hen doing 1633.6 followed by a four-year-old blue hen doing 1631.8.

Storey Arms winner was Abd Spiby with a four-year-old cheq cock doing 1544.4.
