Saturday May 12th and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation got their pigeons away at Kingsdown at 10-30 in a light south east wind. Continuing their run of success and taking the red card in the Brackens South Road Flying Club was the inform loft of Jason & Karen Phillips. Their winner was a yearling Cheq hen which was bred by Spinks & Barks doing 1507 which was the only pigeon into Derby doing over 1500 ypm. This was followed by a yearling blue pied hen doing 1475 to take fourth. In second & third positions was Paul & Lynda Todd with two blue yearling cocks doing 1499 & 1482.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Alan & Liz Houldsworth take three of the first four positions with a two year old blue pied hen taking the red card doing 1497.In third position was a yearling blue hen doing 1491 with a yearling blue pied hen doing 1482 to take fourth. In second position was A. Peach & Son with a yearling blue hen doing 1497.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society John & Steve Hicks get the winner with a two year old blue pied cock doing 1488 followed by Mick Fearn with a two year old Cheq cock doing 1485 to take second, followed by Dave Waddington in third & fourth with two year old dk/Cheq cock doing 1484 and a yearling red cock doing 1482.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd continue to dominate taking three of the first four positions. Their winner was a yearling blue cock doing 1508 which also won as a youngster. Their second pigeon was a yearling Cheq hen doing 1496 followed by a yearling blue cock doing 1495.In second position with a yearling Cheq doing 1505 was Roger & Mark Duffield.

In Kilburn Welfare K.Cresswell gets the red card with a yearling blue cock doing 1449.27.Taking the next three positions was K.Foulke. His first pigeon was a two year old dark hen doing 1449.25 followed by a two year old slatey hen doing 1444 then a yearling dark hen doing 1418.
