TARGETS & OBJECTIVES
by Jim Emerton
The execution of your aims and aspirations in the sport is crucial to future success and the elusive happiness. With 12 years in college education, I learned the art of and dedication to task completion. I applied this self discipline to my racing and my writing, and to a degree it works on a satisfactory level. It is crucial to sort out and clarify clear goals that may be attained over time. Starting on the bottom rung of the ladder, you can engage in most difficult challenges, until a little reflection rewards your years of concerted effort. Time flows into one and a way of life is established. My approach to tasks is to analyse them into component parts and adopt a systematic approach to their completion. As a Mensan I have more projects than I can complete at any one time, and it keeps me busy to see a little progress. The key traits are desire, enthusiasm, persistence and a little talent. Humanity is a vast resevoir of great diversity, beyond our total comprehension.
