THE LAIDBACK APPROACH
by Jim Emerton
I found that intense, hard work was in the foundation of a system that would produce birds to perform at a high level. This took me many years of painstaking mind research in books with periods of inspiration. Personal exchanges are fine on a social level, yet I learned most from established experts and academics in the field of pigeon management. After all the complicated goings on an easy method can induce a nice, controlled procedure which induces calm. I often say that a bright 11 year old girl can do it! This said, you will be awake during the night during the exciting, big races particularly of an international nature. The complexity then is in the thought processes behind the genesis of a simple system. Watch out that you are not asleep on the arrival of your top birds - I used matchsticks to prop up my eyelids for marathon races. May your individuality go with you.
