With your own strain of birds,it is so simple. Apart from a few special selections,let the birds run together with all the nest boxes open at the same time.

A child can carry out this simple exercise,since you are pairing the gene pool up within the loft.

Why match pairs on physical appearance,as it is the internal qualities that matter in distance and marathon racing? It is the no fuss way of pairing birds-letting nature take its course,

and saves time and labour in the process. All birds in a strain are related,descending from common ancestors-mine over 42 years.

We have many cheqs and dark cheqs-small medium birds with silky feathers from the original 7 foundation specimens.

I have been a great believer in inbreeding to performance levels of the racers. When I pass on the birds will be diluted and outbred-cest la vie!
