SIMPLICITY IS GENIUS!

 

To the purist, the essence of pigeon racing is pure and simple. Make the system as easy and predictable as possible to practice - I like a minimal approach to it. You do not have to be complex to win, as it is the birds that should be doing the work for you. Many people work too hard with the birds, as I used to-it stresses both you and the birds and then you pack up for the season. With the minimum work in training, we enter birds in the race prog. to bring on gradual condition. If possible we feed to appetite on open loft, as it is complex to have controlled feeding and exercise regimes. In terms of sprint or distance - find the birds out by sending them - a simple formula and recipe. An actual race will show the truth or not of all your plans, dreams, thoughts and theories. A strain is built on years and years of actual performance birds to your lofts. The easier you make the job, the more contented you will feel with a long season. In a lifetime you may count the champions on one hand.
