Lanarkshire Champion Loft season 2021 - GWP Macaloney

This season more than most has been an extremely difficult one for fanciers and their pigeons and it takes a special loft to win the Combine Average in the Lanarkshire federation. That loft is GWP Macaloney.

GWP Macaloney are a partnership who's performances will never be equalled in the federation and are up with the best in Europe.

They are so consistent and beat their own records year after year. This year reaching the magic record of being the Champions 20 times in 36 seasons. No other loft has ever came close to their results and never will!

The partnership of Wullie & Paul are known worldwide and their pigeons are highly sought after throughout the land.

The Lanarkshire federation race programme is usually 19 races from 60miles to 450 miles and the federation radius is well over fifty square miles, with a membership is around 360.  It’s possible the biggest in the British Isles and can send excess of 6,000 birds. Remember this is a federation not a National or Combine.

As earlier stated the last season has been very difficult and many lofts folded before reaching the end of the old bird season and also the young bird one. The losses across the country have been horrendous and well published in the fancy press. The Lanarkshire has been no different. But the Mac’s race team had the quality and performances to see it through!

To maintain their level of consistency is truly remarkable!

They are great ambassadors for the sport and are the first there and last to leave on marking night.

The hunger and drive has never diminished and with the introduction of Paul with Wullie was the catalyst for even greater success.  They have won at club, federation and National level creating a dynasty of top racing machines that win in any conditions.

Paul has developed new awards for the sport, this is to highlight the top performance pigeons in the UK, it’s called the Titan Games which is available for all in the UK to enter. Its new, It’s exciting and has been highly regarded as the next big thing in the sport. It will give to fanciers and pigeons the platform to promote our sport.
