Barclay McCrindle make it four in a row

This week we arrive at Alnwick, Northumberland  for a race of 89 miles back into lower Central Scotland, the modest birdage of 2,703 birds arrived nice and early and were liberated at 06 30 into a light west wind. The winners hit the boards at 08 26 recording a velocity of 1338ypm.

Again the Brilliant partnership of Barclay McCrindle & Son have blown away the competition ,winning 1st,2nd,3rd Open federation.2,703 birds Is there no end to their talents! That's 4 x 1st Open federations in 4 weeks racing.100% strike rate. Its magnificent racing and puts them ahead of 10,255 birds in four races.

12 pigeons in first 15 of section, half their team in top 33 of the Open .

The cock pigeons finding their form this week.

1st Open 53289 is from a direct son of Jan Hooyman, New Harry bred by Jan Hooymans x dtr of Red Hall bred by Millys Loft. He won 26th fed Wooler 1 2,349 birds and 68th Federation 2,322 birds from Wooler 2.A full brother to 289 won 1st UK ,5th Open 4,137 birds.1st UK 24th Open 2,290 birds.5th UK ,58th Open 4397 birds All in the Thailand Masters OLR Training races 2022/23   

2nd Open 53296 is from another Direct son of New Harry bred by Jan Hooymans x dtr of Prepere Rik. This adds to his 9th fed Wooler 1 2,349 birds beaten by 8 loft mates ,66th federation Wooler 2 2,322 birds, his nest brother  was 28th federation 2,349 birds Wooler 1 and 34th fed 2,322 birds Wooler 2  this year. Full brother won 1st federation Wooler 2,766 birds last year.

3rd Open 53326 is a Frans Zwols bred from a son Fran-Tastic x G/daughter Tip Top pair to add to her 64th fed Wooler 1 2,349 birds and 7th fed Wooler 2 beaten by 6 loft mates 2,322 birds, her nest sister has won 61st Fed Wooler 1 2,349 birds and 6th fed Wooler 2 2,322 birds beaten by loft mates. 

For the rest of us it’s difficult to accept that you are just not in the same league as these guys.

You just have to hang on to their shirt tails and catch up with them later.

The race programme is geared for building teams for the season but with half the federation not even racing is it worth the short programme.

More and more fanciers for one reason or another are not competing, why? ,is it  ill health or just fanciers trying to build a team for next year. Surely this programme should help with the returns.

The problem of not racing them and giving them the education of racing home as youngsters they tend to go down quickly the next season. But everyone to their own ideas.

Next week we are back at Alnwick and on form probable with the same result!

I think the McCrindle partnership will only get better.

Who can topple these guys!

The race controlling was excellent again by Paul Macaloney, hopefully he will continue in the job next season.
