Lanarkshire News - Shap Race 27/4/23
This week takes us to Shap in Northern England around 104 miles back into lower Central Scotland. Although chilly in the morning the 4,000 plus 15 baskets from other organisations birds were away at 09 30am in a light east wind with the sun on their backs.
The winners again made excellent velocities into the mid-1600s with birds homing well for the first hour.
Unfortunately a good number of birds didn't home possible overshooting their lofts.
The ultra consistent Walter Boswell who started the season being 2nd Open, going one better this week winning 1st sect,1st Open, thats 2 x 1st section.
Walters winner was bred from a pair of Rondag pigeons purchased from Performance Pigeons UK.
