LANARKSHIRE FEDERATION

Lanarkshire Federation Presentation Night
As with the previous year our presentation night took place in the Tannochside Miners Welfare club, which has proved to be a good venue for the presentation.
The night was well organised by the committee members and the night progressed well under the guidance of federation President John Quinn.
John kept the night to schedule, which isn't an easy job with the amount of trophies and cups that have to be presented in a federation the size of Lanarkshire. Well done John!
All that attended appeared to have enjoyed their night and again we had a cracking buffet that was second to none, with plenty for everyone and a good variety of food. The music created a great atmosphere on the night and there was something for everyone's taste. Well done to all who attended the event, without your support then it wouldn't happen for those that didn't attend you missed a great night. It’s great to see the winners come forward with pride in their face on there achievement.
McCormick & Hughes are this years Champion loft winning the Combine Averages. Well done lads "BRILLIANT FLYING "
John Quinn & Gareth Rankin, both (C) present the federation Champions McCormick & Hughes
To win a trophy or a section trophy in the biggest federation in the land takes some doing, this is a federation not a combine or National although with over 71,000 pigeons racing over the season, winning in birdage of this magnitude is up with any performance in any race. So be proud, the winners are the best and cannot be diluted or undervalued due to the membership and birdage sent by the Lanarkshire.
The Lanarkshire will continue to progress, with a good season for returns over the young bird programme the birdage will be up on last season. So support your federation in all events, Lanarkshire members should go out of their way to support and promote the best federation in the land. "possible a little bias" ha ha.
If you can’t beat them join them!
Tom Corrie Son G/son had a great season in the federation, winning five trophies including 1st Open Portsmouth.
Tom Corrie jnr (C) presents John & Terry Pollusk 1st Carentan Open.
