Dalziel Presentation 10-02-17

Dalziel Presentation

Dalzell club had their annual presentation and quiz night on 3rd February in the newly furbished Motherwell Miners Club.

Dalzell is a very well run club with dedicated members, who organise shows, presentation night for their members and others to enjoy.
Everything a club should be, you should be proud lads, because ever club isn't the same and you are promoting your sport in the best possible way.
Even the fine detail like the evenings programme was first class.
The club always forward information, like results etc. to promote everything good happening for their members. And with over eighty attending their presentation from all over the central belt, it lets you know how well the club is run.

Douglas Telfer and other members wish to thank everyone who made it a successful night Special thanks to Jim Hannah for attending and taking the photos and to the panel.

The Hall of Fame Award to John King was a very special award to a very special person. I have known John for nearly 50 years and he has shown himself not only to be a sporting phenomenon, but a great supporter of the club, always willing to give credit where it is due and encourage others in their efforts on behalf of the club.
He has flown on his own and in partnership (on different occasions) with Matt McKillop and Jim Walkinshaw, and latterly joined with Allan Selfridge to form the King & Selfridge partnership which was hugely successful over 30 years.

He has won the Old bird Average on at least eleven occasions and well over 100 fist prizes including winning the Federation channel
